Arguing men vs women is like arguing if concrete or rebar is stronger... The point is that they are stronger together.

Your to-do list has 20 items on it. Maybe 2 of them actually matter today. I spent years starting every morning the same way: open the notebook, write out everything I needed to do, stare at the list, pick something that felt manageable, and grind through tasks that kept me busy without moving anything forward. The list was never wrong. Every item on it was real. But the list had no hierarchy. It treated "email vendor about invoice" the same as "close the biggest deal of the quarter." It just accumulated. It never told me what actually mattered. I fixed this with one Claude prompt. Here it is: "You are my chief of staff. Here is my brain dump for today: [paste everything]. Sort this into: 1. The ONE thing that moves the needle today 2. Three tasks to complete, with time estimates 3. What to defer or drop entirely 4. One thing I am avoiding that I need to address Be direct. No filler. Push back if my priorities seem off." How to use it: Before you open email, before you check Slack, open Claude. Do a brain dump. Everything that is in your head: tasks, worries, meetings, things you said you would do, things you have been avoiding. Just paste it all in raw. Unorganized is fine. That is the point. Then run the prompt. What you get back is not a cleaned-up version of your list. It is a prioritized plan. Claude identifies the one thing that actually moves the needle, time-boxes three real tasks, tells you what to cut or push, and calls out the thing you buried at the bottom because you did not want to deal with it. That last part is the one that stings. The most important line in the prompt is: "Push back if my priorities seem off." Most AI tools just execute. They are yes-machines. This prompt sets a different expectation. You are telling Claude to think with you, not just for you. When you have filled your list with low-effort tasks that feel productive but do not actually matter, Claude will say so. When the one thing you listed as "if I have time" is actually the thing your entire week depends on, Claude will surface it. That pushback is what makes it a tool worth using every day. One upgrade that changes the output completely: Add one line of context at the top of the prompt: "Context: I am building [x]. My biggest constraint right now is [y]. My goal this week is [z]." Without this, Claude prioritizes based on what sounds urgent in your dump. With it, Claude prioritizes relative to what actually matters in your business right now. Five seconds of context. Completely different output. Run this every morning for one week. The to-do list does not go away. But it stops running your day. Save this post. You will want the prompt. According to Jordan Peterson: "The typical obese person can expect to lose 7-20 pounds per month on a ketogenic or plant-free ketogenic diet." "That will continue month after month until virtually all of their body fat is eliminated... with no hunger."
