Two older men in my parking lot rolled their eyes at me while I hung up my "My Body, My Choice" flag that has a large feminist pride symbol on it. I fucking laughed 🤣 A bit sensitive if you're annoyed at the thought of a woman exercising her right to bodily autonomy ♀️💪🏻

You know the easiest way to tell that someone has never actually thoroughly read the Constitution? They say stupid shit like this. Literally all of the screed here is antithetical to the Constitution and what the framers were striving for, which was a society protective of all religions and also those who are secular. Did you ever pay attention in history class to understand one of their largest criticisms of the English Crown? I'm guessing not. And no, your God has nothing to do with our freedoms in the Constitution. That's straight-up copium right there.
A constitutional amendment is needed banning Islam, Socialism, Communism from operating in America as they are all antithetical to our Constitution and a threat to our God given freedoms.

Wow, crazy. I decided to check the boycott list to actually see which companies are on it. I use 8 of them almost daily. My anxiety medication, Klonopin, is made by Teva Pharmaceuticals. It's the only manufacturer I can take because other manufacturers' binding agents cause negative effects. Well, fuck it. I was considering burning this card anyway. I don't need some political organization to tell me whether or not I'm a leftist or a socialist, or to validate my beliefs. I hate this stupid purity-testing bullshit.
The DSA National Political Committee has voted to unendorse and expel Nithya Raman She has until October 31 to express clear direct support for BDS to retain endorsement, and until January 1 to condemn weapon shipments for Israel out of LAX to remain a member of DSA Both resolutions are linked below

I enjoy speaking to and even befriending people who, on paper at least, I shouldn't get along with. My entire adult life, I've sought friendships with people whose politics and religious beliefs are the opposite of mine. I enjoy learning how and why they believe what they do. I try to appreciate it from their perspective. Ultimately, it will either test my beliefs and strengthen my confidence in them, or leave me with a new perspective to consider deeply. Often times Ive found many such friendships to be the most meaningful in my life.

If your principles don’t survive contact with your opponents, they were weak. If they don’t survive contact with your allies, you never held them.

First time early voting is offered in my state. I decided to get the stress off my shoulders and get it over with. Peggy Flanagan was the only progressive voice on the ballot. Otherwise, this was in honor of Alice Paul and the Silent Sentinels for the 19th Amendment.

240-question political compass test. And this was my result. It's really funny because, honestly, I'm far more conservative on many issues than I lead on. I'm very economically left, a pacifist, and favor liberty/freedom above all else. Fascinating, though.

7 days out from the Election. I haven't felt this hopeless about an election in a while. I've watched all of the candidates I support either lose already in the primaries or get demonized by neoliberals to the point where every race is a polling toss-up now. My state's Democrats are technically a socialist labor party at their roots, but they are far fucking from it.

Finally got around to finishing my Lego Game Boy. I thought I'd show it next to my original Game Boy Advance from my childhood, with the games I had back then. Kind of wild to think it still works, too. Fun little build.

I legit had no idea she responded to me yesterday with this. She must have blocked me for I could see it. Wild. I guess I'm complicit in trans genocide for calling her out for thinking that Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P. Johnson, and the the trans rights movement never existed until she entered politics and that we are so weak and feable as trans women that we need the Democratic Party to step in to create our civil rights movement for us. Yeah, that's what I called her out on that warranted this. Damn. I watched her for months slander DSA, Hasan Piker, and Leftists like me routinely all day long. She even considered her activist work in the trans rights movement more qualified than anything that I've done. She is a cís woman, by the way. But whatever, I guess. My voice as a trans woman doesn't mean a fucking thing when you get paternalistic activism.

Just wanted to say that fuck the Democrats here, and the operatives and influencers for them too. The trans rights movement has been around for decades. The Democrats only needed to get one board and support us. All they had to do was invite us into the room and listen to us on the issues and adopt our movement's concerns and policy ideas. They didn't. They instead chose to ignore us and then blame us, and as of yesterday the DCCC ran an anti trans ad for a SC Democrat. So yeah, fuck that party. They didn't need to fucking create our movement. Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson are rolling in their graves at the thought that the movement doesn't exist because the Democrats apparently didn't build our own fucking movement. Fuck the Democrats. It's a loser fucking party that's bought out by dark money groups and foreign political interests and gatekept by politicians who were born before people owned fucking TVs in their homes. And let's just say, obviously, they operate like they are a controlled opposition party at this point. You can be right about the recycled material thing, which I agree with, but fuck that shit about the Democrats needing to create out fucking own movement. So fucking insulting to think about this kind of shit. It's like your understanding of trans history started like in 2016 or something. Who threw the first brick at Stonewall? Who spoke up at the 1973 NYC Pride in favor of trans women's rights?

I got some new flags in the mail today to fly at my place. I love being able to exercise my freedom of speech as a feminist and knowing I will likely get some misogynist who sees them all bent out of shape over it, lmao 🤣 I'm going to iron them out tomorrow and hang them up

Took like a month off from here. It was nice. I never quite realized how toxic it was here, lol. Reflection and help from friends helped me better understand what was happening to me and gave me a new perspective on life going forward, still in progress, but with direction. Anyway, check out my new PC desktop space. Recently changed it up the other day. Caitlyn Clark on the left and Paige Bueckers on the right. My two favorite players. Paige is the better of the two, though, just saying, lol. Nice change-up from my Pokémon plushies.

Just wanted to say that for those who think ive never engaged in feminism in real life. I see comments today suggesting this a lot. I worked at NARAL, I was a sexual assault victim advocate at multiple womens shelters, I was a political strategist and lobbyist for a trans rights PAC. While im never going to be perfect in my feminism for anyone or neurotypical enough to not get fucked with everywhere I go in life. Despite all of my hardships, ive really done my best to engage and further feminist causes. Thats more than most who fuck with me on here can say. At least I tried. And yeah, Im prideful of my hard work getting my Women's Studies degree because it was an impossible journey to get there for me. And yes, Im an arrogant and vindictive bitch at times. And no, im not sorry for that. Proceed with caution if you choose to fuck with me for funsies, you may see how much of a vindictive bitch I can really be. *not directed at anyone in particular by the way.

This here is a reference for those who may feel my version of feminism, which is best characterized as "Smashing the Patriarchy", may be rare, or not common in feminist tradition, just made up yesterday, even. Here are quite a few. Yes, I know it's long. Forgive me; I'm trying to provide nuance to my belief system here. Simone de Beauvoir "What we demand is the destruction of the patriarchal institutions that relegate women to a secondary status." Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz "We are damaged people... We must understand that female liberation is the total destruction of the existing social system." Mary Daly "Faced with global patriarchy, the activity of distinctive being is the principal means of resistance and revolution. Instead of calling for reforms to promote gender fairness, [we must recommend] the sin of feminist revolution... a complete overhaul of our values, language, [and] political structures." Adrienne Rich "Patriarchy is the power of the fathers: a familial-social, ideological, political system in which men—by force, direct pressure, or through ritual, tradition, law, and language, customs, etiquette, education, and the division of labor, determine what part women shall or shall not play, and in which the female is everywhere subsumed under the male." Andrea Dworkin "Under patriarchy, every woman's daughter is a victim past, present, or future. Under patriarchy, every woman's son is an inquisitor, past, present, or future... We must destroy the very structure of the culture that makes this true." "We must destroy the very structure of the culture that makes violence against women a normal condition... We are trying to tear down the entire apparatus of male supremacy." Audre Lorde "For the master's tools will never dismantle the master's house. They may allow us temporarily to beat him at his own game, but they will never enable us to bring about genuine change." bell hooks "Feminism is the struggle to end sexist oppression. Therefore, it is necessarily a struggle to eradicate the ideology of domination that permeates Western culture on various levels..." Mona Eltahawy "I want to destroy the patriarchy. I am not interested in glass ceilings. I want to destroy the entire building that holds the glass ceiling... I want to dismantle the system that forces us to choose which part of ourselves to defend." Judith Butler "If feminism is to remain a radical movement, it must continue to challenge the core structures of violence and oppression, destabilizing the regimes of truth that determine who counts as human and who does not." Charlotte Bunch "Our existence challenges its life... The destruction of a system where one sex oppresses another is the first step toward a free society." Monique Wittig "To refuse to be a woman, to refuse to be a man, is to actively participate in the destruction of the system of oppression... We must destroy the categories of sex if we want to be truly free." Kate Millet "A sexual revolution demands the total overthrow of patriarchy, the dismantling of the traditional family, and the end of male mastery." “All historical civilizations are patriarchies: their ideology is male supremacy.” Ti-Grace Atkinson "Feminism is not about sharing power within an oppressive structure. It is about the total destruction of the political class system based on sex." Amina Wadud "Dismantling patriarchy is not an option or a side project; it is the fundamental precursor to achieving actual human dignity and justice." Redstockings “After centuries of individual and preliminary political struggle, women are uniting to achieve their final liberation from male supremacy.” Gerda Lerner “Such reforms need to be integrated within a vast cultural revolution in order to transform patriarchy and thus abolish it.” Clara Zetkin “We demand equal political rights with men in order that, with them, we may together cast off the chains which bind us”

OH, hey Aisling @burnthelilacs I thought since you're only intellectually capable of using memes to engage in intellectual debates, I figured you'd enjoy a couple of memes that were popular when I was your age 🤣
