Physicist: 31, 331, 3331, 33331, 333331, 3333331, and 33333331 are all prime, so the pattern must continue.
Mathematician: Careful, patterns can be deceptive. You need a rigorous proof for such a claim.
Data scientist: None of this is making any money
Around 2002 I had an internship with the DOD as a "Budget Technician". I knew I was not made for the public sector when a coworker who was full time pulled me aside and gave me some advice for my success, "Stop working so hard, you're making the rest of us look bad."
So that whistling in the opening of last night's Severance was "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot for those of you who also suffer from song identification OCD.

I really don’t care if you’re a Democrat or Republican.
I care about whether you use turn signals and hog the left lane.

One of my most common questions to PMs before agreeing to or doing an analysis to "Support the Strategy":
"If we do this, and the results end up not supporting the strategy, do you change the strategy, or do you filter the analysis?"
Note: usually you want to craft a strategy after you review analysis.
One of the things I regularly tell my team is that the methodology should be in the appendix. Know your audience. Tell the customer story.
One common mistake that I see smart PMs and data scientists make is they write a long detailed doc with their analysis and methodology but don't lead with what the customer experience or impact is.
Nobody wants to read through pages of methodology to understand what the tl:dr is.
Think about the audience and don't bury the lede.
Oh the company that we keep...
You ever wonder if maybe our position on Crypto in the US needs work?
Guilty.
