2. Farbrace played 40 first class matches as a keeper batsman averaging 19. I suppose he is qualified to impart knowledge that Jimmy has. The hierarchy at Lccc should be ashamed of themselves. For Farbrace’s tenure and Jimmy’s exit. Dreadful!

Disappointing to note so many who've been blinded by Thatcherism all the way through to Trump whereby people simply accept billionaires sacking people in order to make more money. I hope those shouting loudest never have to experience the pain of redundancy. Although perhaps it may instill a tad more empathy towards those losing their jobs...
Absolutely shocking the Kroenke’s are making staff inside the club redundant on the back of all those increased revenues. Thoughts go out to the staff, some of who I know personally and who work so hard behind the scenes to make the club what it is. Don’t @ me if you disagree you’ve clearly never been made redundant yourself and don’t know the debilitating awfulness of it. Wishing everyone affected all the best ❤️

BREAKING: GLOVES OFF! President Zelenskyy RIPS into Trump's monstrous diesel deal with Putin as a "betrayal" and warns that he is not on "the right side of history."
And he was just getting warmed up...
"It appears that President Trump, to quote a phrase that we would use over here, has thrown you under the bus," Piers Morgan said to the Ukrainian President during an interview. "He's done this diesel deal with Vladimir Putin, having just announced renewed sanctions, which people find inexplicable. And now you have a situation where President Trump announced an energy ceasefire, and within hours Vladimir Putin launches an absolute bombardment of Ukraine, aimed directly at your energy."
"Do you feel betrayed by what has been happening?" Morgan asked.
"Really, yes. Really, between us," said Zelenskyy. "But it's a little bit more complicated than just my emotions or my feelings. Our country has to survive."
Trump recently blindsided Ukraine, our European allies, and the American people who oppose Russia's brutal invasion by announcing a "deal" to let Putin flood the global markets with millions of barrels of diesel. He has tried to spin it as a win, but it's nothing more than cowardly capitulation, a desperate attempt to wrestle down out-of-control gas prices ahead of the midterm elections. Those gas prices, ironically and tragically enough, are a direct result of his disastrous, pointless Iran War. Trump created this problem, then stabbed an ally in the back to "fix" it. Now, the Kremlin will get a massive influx of new cash to help fund their war machine and slaughter more innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children.
"When you found out that President Trump had done this deal with Putin, twenty-one days after new sanctions, what was your immediate response to that?" asked Morgan.
"It's a pity that we are losing a strong partner," Zelenskyy said bluntly. "So this is my opinion."
"You think you're losing America?" asked Morgan.
"Yeah. But not because of us. We can't be weak, otherwise we can't survive," said Zelenskyy. "We are not selling our country. Look, guys, it's not about business for us. It's just our life. And this is our country, it's our body. So our home, our children. And this is very important for us."
"That's why it's painful when President Trump chooses one side, not our side," he continued. "But we are okay that he's in the middle. But if you're in the middle, you have to stay in the middle. Not on the wrong side. I think his advisors are wrong. I don't know who is pushing him not to the right side. This is not the right side of history."
Notice how masterfully Zelenskyy phrased his attack. He condemned Trump's actions as a betrayal, shaming him, but then gave the egomaniacal American President a way out by suggesting that his advisors are to blame and that he can still reverse course.
The reality, of course, is that this "deal" is fully Trump's responsibility because he's the one sitting behind the Resolute Desk. This betrayal is a result of his incompetence, his self-interested desire to lower gas prices at any cost, and the fact that he is a creature pathologically incapable of loyalty. History will judge him accordingly.
Please ❤️ and share if you think that history will vilify Trump and Putin!

“I would be really concerned to lose them.” Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the possibility of Manchester City’s owners selling up. What?! These are owners found guilty of serial breaches of the Premier League rule-book by three judges on an independent commission after a lengthy investigation. Owners who outraged other clubs and countless fans by flouting the rules and inflating sponsorship income with the Disguised Funding Scheme.
Owners who misled auditors and regulators, who threaten to bring this Premier League season – and, potentially, future seasons - to a standstill by their appeal, deny, delay tactics. Owners who are patently not proper custodians of a famous, historic club. Owners who many hope will sell up and ship out after bringing such shame and sham contracts to the game.
So these are astonishing, alarming comments from the PM. “I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn't just put into the Etihad and the campus around it but also into the city," Burnham told the BBC’s Chris Mason.
Come on, PM. Read the room. Read the commission’s report. Read the belligerent statements from the Abu Dhabi owners and their chief executive like Ferran Soriano. Rather than thank CFG, perhaps thank the diligence of the Premier League in seeking to enforce its rules and protect the national sport. Perhaps thank the three judges for their pain-staking work in sifting through reams of evidence and coming to their considered conclusion.
Burnham spoke as a politician seemingly with one eye on diplomatic and trade links. He spoke as a former mayor whose city benefited from investment in east Manchester by Abu Dhabi. “They've been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester and obviously the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.” And how was that building financed?
Burnham spoke as a politician and not the football fan that he truly is. The lifelong Evertonian is usually pretty sound on football matters. He misread the mood of many fans not wanting the possible return of drinking in Premier League stands but that was a rare misstep. This is far worse. This makes him look out of touch with the prevailing mood. He was speaking at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Maybe he should head to Anfield on Sunday week and witness the anger felt towards City.
Burnham did add that he wasn’t getting involved in the process and that City had a right to appeal if they felt harshly treated. But how does the PM’s sympathetic words for controversial owners help the independent football regulator charged by Government with leading the fight against those who risk the credibility of their club, who play fast and loose with the rules and who damage the integrity of the national sport?
How frustrating if Burnham’s words embolden City's owners and Soriano further. Bit of an own goal by No 10.

💣🚨BREAKING: Ian Wright Blasts Media Over Myles Lewis Skelly Headlines.
🗣️I’ve seen these headlines and I’m fuming. Arsenal “offering” Myles Lewis-Skelly to Chelsea and Manchester United? Absolute nonsense. Pure media mischief trying to stir it up.
🗣️This is a Hale End boy through and through. Been here since he was a kid, broke through, played in a Champions League final, scored on his England debut… and now they’re trying to write him out like he’s just some disposable asset? Never. Not in a million years.
🗣️Arteta and the club know exactly what they’ve got in him. Versatile, hungry, proper footballer. They’re not shipping him across London or up north for anyone. Myles is a Gunner and he’ll stay a Gunner. Mark my words.
Stop the clickbait and show some respect for one of our own.
Thoughts on Ian’s Words?

It makes me sad that we've not heard anything from Arsene Wenger in all of this. Surely, surely he can't be happy with what Infantino is doing? When Arsene talks, people across the world listen. But he's been silent - and still is.
A man of his standing, integrity, position and influence needs to take a stand about something that is so clearly against everything he has always seeminly stood for - the good of the game.
