🇬🇭⤴️🌉GHANA’S NEW ECONOMY: UNLOCKING PRIVATE-SECTOR GROWTH, CREATING JOBS, AND BUILDING A PROSPEROUS FUTURE 🇬🇭
President John Dramani Mahama’s proposed New Economy Policy aims to mobilise $2 billion annually over five years to drive private-sector growth, industrialisation and job creation.
By investing in agriculture, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, tourism and logistics, Ghana can empower young people, reduce import dependence and expand local production.
Linked to the 24-Hour Economy, this vision offers an opportunity to transform enterprise, attract investment and build a resilient, job-rich economy where Ghanaian talent can thrive.

Some people will ask you to recommend a reliable person, ignore your recommendation, choose someone else and later return to explain what went wrong. Experience is sometimes expensive. 😂

JOYNEWS should answer first. You have research and data team to take weeks talking about evacuation of the past 5months nobody says anything until Jandam party start propaganda. But your JOYNEWS didn't have the boldness to do research of the past 8YEARS of mismanagement. Pwalugu Dan where is the research story? EXG under Afenyo Markin, where is the Covid-19 Funds? All that you don't have the nerve and courage to do research 😂😂😂😂😂
Do you agree with the NPP’s call for Ablakwa to resign or be dismissed over the SA evacuation payments?

Can’t stop laughing 🤣

The Minority in Parliament has called for the immediate resignation of Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa over his handling of the South Africa evacuation exercise.
The Minority accuses the minister of bringing his office into disrepute and insists that he should step down.

So Nana Addo introduced the mafia tactics into the NPP political scene… He should be ashamed of himself..

Any NPP politician who believes they can control or manipulate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for personal or political interests will be in for a rude awakening if Ghanaians entrust him with the presidency. Ghana needs a President who will make decisions in the national interest—not one who can be controlled by individuals seeking to advance their own agendas. The era of politics driven by personal interests must end.

President Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve a supplementary external borrowing plan of $20.52 billion and €1.045 billion.
My question about the proposed $20.52B and €1.045B external loans isn't "should Nigeria borrow?"
It's "what are the terms, and will the projects deliver?"
Borrowing can make sense when:
The projects earn more than the loan costs, through revenue, foreign exchange or output.
The terms are cheap and long.
Repayment fits what the government can afford without squeezing other spending.
The money reaches the projects it's meant for.
It tends to go wrong when:
Projects stall or cost more than planned.
Loans are repaid in dollars or euros while revenue is in naira, so a weaker naira raises the real cost.
Interest takes a growing share of government revenue.
Oversight is weak.
The report names sectors like power, transport and healthcare, but not the interest rates, repayment periods or specific projects. Until those are public, it's hard to judge it as good or bad.
What's the one detail you'd want published before the Senate votes?
