This was for MEMENTO. This was for BATMAN BEGINS. This was for THE PRESTIGE. This was for INCEPTION. This was for INTERSTELLAR. This was for DUNKIRK. This was for OPPENHEIMER.
But most importantly, this was for THE DARK KNIGHT.
The greatest filmmaker of the 21st Century.
Every actor that has played the Batman on the big screen has been good to great to me so I have no doubt the next one will follow suit.
But it’s really difficult to imagine anyone taking up the mantle after Robert Pattinson - who is clearly in his prime & is clearly the last of his generation of movie stars.
But good luck with that.
Perfectly said. Sir Patrick Stewart immortalized Professor Charles Xavier on the big screen. He was the gracious leader of many of our childhoods. RIP.
All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Robert Pattinson says "I'm so happy" that Steven Soderbergh has stepped in to finish "The Batman 2" filming after Matt Reeves' exit.
“It’s incredibly generous of him – and he’s doing it in the loveliest way. It’s completely selfless. I think Matt had put so much work into the script, and we’re almost done. So for someone to come in and say, ‘I just want to help Matt do it; I want to do it in conjunction with him and just get it to the edit.’ And to have someone who’s as talented as Steven doing it is great.”
When asked when filming would start up again, Pattinson responded: “I think they’re in production already. And I’m starting in a couple of days.” (via GamesRadar+)
