A reminder that Malik Orsan unceremoniously signed with South Carolina at the end of April and based on resumes (zero career attempts) was probably considered the LEAST likely to win the kicking job at the time. Gamecocks added another late addition at kicker during preseason camp bc no one had taken command of the job. Malik didn’t start the opener either. Kept battling tho. Just walked out there and absolutely drilled the game winner to cap off a night Gamecock fans will never forget.

And listen, I don’t think Boley is worth the money and I think ASU chose poorly from Camp T forward. I would have started Keene from day one but right now this man needs to compete with K-State and be supported. He doesn’t need to beat the crowd too

Can't agree more with this. I've seen fans turn on just about every player in this market, including Fitz.

Boley was waiting for Fette when he came off the field and congratulated him. ASU fans, no more boos for Cutter, please.

I get the fans frustration with Boley, but booing him coming on the field isn't a great look (especially with a large contingent of recruits here).

Kenny Dillingham on ASU fans who loudly booed Cutter Boley when he took over for Mikey Keene: "Don't boo. My players are first. I protect my players. That's to my core. It's me and my team vs. everybody who is against us. Everybody." @FOX10Phoenix

As Mikey Keene limps heavily to ASU's medical tent, Sun Devil fans drown Cutter Boley in loud boos when he comes into the game for Keene. 😬 @FOX10Phoenix

ASU fans BOOING Boley louder than they EVER yell on defense is why we will never be good. Embarrassing.

asu punter nick mclarty got a lot of love from kenny dillingham today, and rightfully so. everybody remembers the huge pin punt he had at the end of the first half against kansas to swing things, but they're real close to making these consistently dangerous, as seen here:

This is why we he will be playing Saturdays next year. Basha ‘27 ASU K commit Mikey Barth drills a 55-yard FG that would have been good from 60 yards out. Basha 30 Liberty 14 3:34 left in Q4

I have never seen a more disciplined well coached team than Texas atm. Zero penalties through 3 quarters. Pretty interesting.
