“I love life.”
Nearly two years after a fall left him paralyzed from the shoulders down, Dennis Prager spoke for an hour at a Miami gala about gratitude, happiness and refusing to see himself as a victim.
David Suissa reports on a man putting his lifelong philosophy to the test.

Losing your composure in front of 2,000 people.
Memorials, especially a memorial for an unspeakable tragedy, are a reminder that, in the end, we can never really “move on.”

The print issue of @JewishJournal is out today. They ran my full 10,000-word analysis of why the October 7 Hamas attack qualifies, under the Genocide Convention and the case law, as a genocidal act.
I am very grateful they did not cut it because the power of the case I present is when all facts, evidence of intent, and the legal standard, are all on the page.
Here it is in full: jewishjournal.com/commentary…
Three years ago this week, Hamas carried out the deadliest single day for Jews since the Holocaust. The word "genocide" has been applied to only one side of this war.
I spent the past month running the same legal test — the Genocide Convention, the case law, the rigorous intent standard — against October 7 itself. The case turns out to be stronger than most people, on either side, expect.
I have set forth, in detail, a falsifiable standard — the same one I used in Genocide for Dummies, where I showed why Israel's conduct in Gaza does not meet the international legal standard for genocide. Show me the evidence that meets my test, and I will write the correction myself.
The Genocide Case Against Hamas is live now. It also runs tomorrow in @JewishJournal

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani must think Jews are stupid.
How else to explain his classic ruse of buttering us up with schmaltz before shooting us with a genocidal spear?
If Mamdani meant what he said about Oct. 7, he would have stuck to the schmaltz.

The institutions that accused Israel of genocide have never applied the same legal test to Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack.
@geraldposner examines the evidence, the case law and Hamas’ own words — and argues there is a solid case that Oct. 7 was genocide.

Very glad to see my latest in-depth analysis about the case for a genocide charge against Hamas for October 7 in the @JewishJournal

The collective assault against Israel has been so broad and deep it’s been hard finding anyone in the mainstream media who will dare go after the Hamas murderers whose biggest victims are the Palestinians

The thing with labels is that they stick. That is a good thing for a group like the Nazis, but to nonchalantly slap the "genocide" label on Israel and its supporters is criminal.

Why do you think @BoyGeorge’s song has triggered such a backlash among the “Israel rhymes with genocide” crowd? Because it demolishes their case.

The Commencement Address I Was Supposed to Give at Georgetown Law by Morton Schapiro
"Georgetown asked for my talk in advance, and I was about to send it to them on the day I discussed the petition with the dean. It draws on several of my JJ columns about humility, gratitude, and, ironically, the urgent need for dialogue in our polarized society."

As we commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day, it’s worth remembering not only how Jews died but also how Jews responded: not by wallowing in victimhood but by building and thriving. jewishjournal.com/commentary…
Imagine the outcry if a group of Jewish public schoolteachers would announce a “Zionist teach-in” for MLK Day. Would Mayor Mamdani allow such a disruption of a national holiday? jewishjournal.com/commentary…
Given the state we’re in, MLK's legacy has never been more essential. I can’t think of a better way to honor his legacy on MLK Day than to remember how he tried to bring our country together through the shared ideals expressed at our founding.
