Much of the madness of gender ideology happens behind closed doors. People say unbelievably stupid things, and make unbelievably stupid and often dangerous decisions.

This is a lie. Delete it or post your evidence. I am not playing nice with this.

Something you might think about here is nuance. It's possible to agree with someone about some things and not others. Eg I'm not a Tory, but I agree with the @CforWomenUK account about sex and gender. This is how grownups get things done. It's also how democracy works.

I looked them up and they appear to be at the Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) in Tucson, Arizona. If you adopt both of these dogs together — or any animal from this center — I will pay for a month's worth of pet food and help you find a good pair of pants.

Last week's highlight for me was a talk on swifts by Edward Mayer, founder of the charity Swift Conservation. What a great character he is, and what amazing birds they are.

Yet more ammunition against LTNs.
Lambeth Council's own report has found the West Dulwich LTN resulted in “no significant traffic reduction” but increased congestion on boundary roads.
The courts found that the Council had acted illegally when installing it & ordered its removal.

went to visit a friend who’s a ceramicist and works in a studio with no phone signal in a tiny yorkshire village. he doesn’t listen to podcasts or music, only occasionally uses the radio, and when I asked him what he thinks about all day he just said “well, pots mostly”

On this day in 1996, the last Irish Magdalene Laundry closed its slave labour prison doors. Originally called the Gloucester Street Laundry, located on Sean MacDermott Street it was owned and exploited by the nuns of the ironically titled "Sisters of Our Lady of Charity". When it closed it was home to 40 inmates, its average capacity during its heyday was 150 women working and living there.
A little-known fact is that the first laundry for "fallen women" was actually founded by the Protestant Church of Ireland in 1765. However it didn't take long for the Catholic church to combine power and penitence with profit, and they created a veritable gulag network for incarcerating and torturing vulnerable or nonconformist girls and women. Over 30,000 souls suffered in these institutions in Ireland.
In 1993 land owned in Drumcondra by the aforementioned Sisters of Our Lady of Charity was bought by a property developer. Whilst it was being redeveloped the bodies of 155 women were uncovered in a mass grave. Of these victims, only 133 were identified by name in an exhumation license granted to the Sisters. And of those only 75 had a death certificate.
These girls and women, and whatever babies they produced, didn't matter. They had no intrinsic value to the nuns, priests, and bishops beyond the profit they could make by their sweat and the sale of their children. Magdalene Laundries are a warning from Irish history. When you grant blind obedience and immune status to an organisation, whether it be religious, political, or economic, that power will be exploited and those most powerless will suffer most.

But @Shearings you are a disgrace. My in-laws, in their 70s, spend their pension on a holiday with you in St Ives
…and this is where you sent them?!
My father-in-law has Parkinson’s too - so well done for stressing him out.
And my mother-in-law cried on the phone to you asking for a full refund
And YOU REFUSED?!
