Swisher should be careful with her words and actions. Elon has a ton of resources at his disposal, not to mention an army of millions of supporters. Tough combo to beat.
Replying to @WesternLensman
Live by the sword, die by the sword. Sounds like Swisher really wants to go to prison.

This guy is having a mental health crisis. Please don't believe the things he says due to his current mental status.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in. In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes. In Spain, for affordable rent and housing. In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption. @JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south. He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment. The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few. This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future. In America, let us listen to our young. We need an economic and political transformation. America's Next New Deal.

It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
Coffee shops boost innovation. 10% more Starbucks in an area --> 3-4% more inventions. People gather over a cuppa. They share ideas, discuss how to untangle a knotty problem, help see an issue from another perspective. These conversations lead to breakthroughs and inventions. A very fun paper finds that when Starbucks rolled out to a new county, it fueled a coffee-shop culture, urging more and more people to “grab a coffee” together. The authors compare the counties where Starbucks had rolled out to those where it had not yet arrived. And they find that the number of patents in caffeinated counties is meaningfully higher. This paper underscores how essential the face-to-face encounter is. Starbucks isn’t that old. People Could have picked up the phone and chatted at any time. People Could have dropped an email. Probably they did. But those connections didn’t yield the same insights and creativity. Turns out that a Cup of Joe really does help the knowledge flow. We talk about how much in-person connection boosts creativity in In Person. It’s out in just few days, so now is a great time to pre-order. To see the full research use the link in the comments. #Innovation #InPerson #FutureOfWork #CoffeeCulture #NewBook

Vile.
We have added the following Editors' Note to our recent coverage of the Israeli government's reaction to the NAZA documentary: "Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article included a statement that was intended to convey Israelis’ perception of the government’s military response to the Oct. 7 terror attack in relation to the attacks, but inadvertently suggested that Israelis’ experience as terror victims was a matter of perception. It has been removed from the article." nytimes.com/2026/09/14/world…

In 1969 WMAR-TV reporter Susan White interviewed DON RICKLES on location in Yugoslavia whilst he was shooting “Kelly’s Heroes” (working title at the time “The Warriors”). RICKLES had a reputation for not letting reporters get a word in edgeways, so Susan decided to hilariously turn the tables… teapaw.org/drsditt/status/2083156…

He failed as the former Mayor of Chicago and believes we should trust his opinion on things above his head. Just another corrupt political shill.
If you want to know what’s wrong with Washington, take a look at the Rand Paul/Dr. Fauci hearing. Pointing fingers and assigning blame rather than learning lessons to prevent the next pandemic. Where are the hearings on the measles outbreak? How about hearings on the cyclosporiasis outbreak? If that’s not enough to get you sick, this administration continues to leave Americans more vulnerable than ever to disease as they continue to dismantle the FDA and the CDC.

Lol, he got community noted. Even if Zuck stayed in Cali and paid the tax, the state would probably blow the $ on consultants working on the disastrous high-speed train project. Or, it's lost to straight-up corruption.
If voters in California approve the 5% billionaire wealth tax in November, Mark Zuckerberg would owe $10.5 billion in taxes & healthcare would be saved for 3 million low-income people. Poor Mr. Zuckerberg would only have $200 billion left to feed his family. How will he survive?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Mark Zuckerberg moved to Florida after this tax was proposed by California lawmakers. Therefore, he will not pay any money for the California billionaire wealth tax, if passed. ifcreview.com/news/2026/febr… architecturaldigest.com/story/mark-zuc… foxbusiness.com/real-estate/ma…

This dude's reputation and career is going like Fauci's. Once revered and respected, it has now pivoted to charlatan and fraud.
There was plenty senators could have asked Dr. Fauci about what lessons he learned, and the country should, from the COVID pandemic. Instead they engaged in an obvious attempt to demonize and entrap the 85-year-old, who received the Medal of Freedom from a Republican POTUS for the work he did to save millions here and abroad from the AIDS epidemic. This was not about public health. It was about one senators longstanding vendetta.

Sorry, Dr. many Americans disagree with your diagnosis. And unfortunately, for many of those Americans, they were not allowed to get a second opinion.
I’ve been asked by friends and media to comment on the recent Dr. Fauci document dump. There are plenty of people in Washington, D.C. who say and do things more for themselves than for our country. Tony Fauci is not one of them. He served this nation -mostly in the shadows - for 50+ years, until a pandemic and an election suddenly thrust him into the spotlight. Like any of us, I’m sure there are things he would do differently with the benefit of hindsight. But I 💯 believe everything he said and did was driven by the best intentions for our country. 1/3

Strange how someone could review the facts and consider Fauci a hero. Others must agree, hence the pardon.
Mum admired you, Dr. Fauci, and considered you a hero, as do I. Excerpt from Dr. Fauci's diary: "I received a call from Ethel and Kerry Kennedy explicitly inviting (me) up to Hyannisport for 4th of July weekend. They were so nice over the phone. They said that they loved and admired me and were so pleased that the Kennedy family could honor me." There's a right to privacy in our country, and the left, right, and middle can all agree that publishing someone's personal diaries is a clear violation. There's an exception for excerpts that reveal wrongdoing, corruption, or abuse. Sen. Rand Paul jeopardized all our rights when he wholesale published thousands of pages of Dr. Fauci's personal diaries. That's no way to treat a citizen. That's no way to treat a hero.

Look at the "P.S." Hahaha! His money, his choice. P.S. Daron is an Economist so he knows his suggestion is foolish but it gains political points from whoever drinks his Kool-aid.
A proposed pledge for Elon Musk. An opportunity to put your money where your mouth is. If money won’t matter in 2036, why don’t you pledge to donate your current wealth of approximately $1 trillion to charity no later than 2036. This would establish with great credibility your belief in the powers of AI and technology. It would also assuage many people around the world who are worried about the political and social influence of billionaires and trillionaires. PS. The charities chosen for this should be approved as effective and non-ideological by an impartial body. Money Won't Matter in 2036 - Elon Musk. youtube.com/shorts/WTXv1It3l… via @YouTube

Why surprised? You knew we were, just not on U.S. soil. So, it wasn't important. Until it was.
Why is the intelligence community so invested in the Fauci coverup? We went through mountains of evidence, and one line from an internal intel email stuck out: ‘Be careful about criticizing the Chinese having militarized this…because you realize we do the same.’ @JesseKellyDC

Disgrace.
The test of any Prime Minister is: do you leave your country in a better place than you found it? I’m proud that the answer is yes.

Stupid is as stupid does.
It’s 100 degrees and Democrats are still whispering about climate change 🙄 Thankfully, New Yorkers elected public power champions at the state and federal level to take on the fossil fuel industry and protect us from these deadly heat waves. New Yorkers demand climate action and democratic socialists will deliver.

Kristof is an asshole and lies a lot. It's part of his job. USAID may have originally had benevolent intentions and results, but for the last decade or two, was a corrupt, change order organization with little controls.
Elon Musk says that no one died because of his demolition of USAID, and that "Kristof is lying through his teeth." So here I invite him to join me on a visit to Africa to see for himself: nytimes.com/2026/07/01/opini…

I thought we were able to close these suspect NGO's. I guess not. "Justice affected New Yorkers" reminds me of the gas station attendant description we used to use: "Petroleum Transfer Engineer".
The criminalization of poverty in transit is not an abstract issue. For many justice affected New Yorkers, like Eduardo, unaffordable transit poses a daily gamble in which they're forced to jeopardize their freedom to access basic mobility. It's wrong, and @NYCMayor can put an end to it by expanding the Fair Fares program in this year's budget, due in just a few days on July 1. If not now, when?

This guy writes constant bullshit hoping he goes viral and gets famous. Another corrupt journalist. Won't last long at WaPo.
