Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Anima Labs WL so far! We have over 18 hours left on the WL mint, before our public mint begins. For existing WL holders, there are still NFTs available to mint. We just wanted to explain to you what we’ve built. We’ve said from the beginning that we were building dNFTs - thanks to the help of @gmove_io and @wearepinkyellow. The ability to create complex dNFTs is what attracted us to @SuiNetwork. We see it as Sui’s USP and it enables us to create virtual worlds that mirror the physical. With a car or even a building, with things in the real world, you don’t see them as their composite parts - wheels, bricks - you see them as the final product, which is an abstraction of all the parts. We live in a world of complex items that are greater than the sum of their parts and our minds perceive them as the final complex item based on their utility. Our Genesis Avatars are dynamic NFTs that ship with 18 ‘equipped’ items. What does this mean? When you initially mint, you mint 1 NFT that owns 18 other NFTs. And, using our inventory system at anima.nexus, you can ‘unequip’ these NFTs; in effect, your avatar no longer owns these NFTs. As a result, they can be seen independently in your wallet and they are tradable. This is the power of Sui. Much like cars, houses and cities in the real world, the Genesis Avatars are an abstraction of all their parts. Your NFT has attributes that represent the parts it owns, and your avatar is a composite of the equipment. We believe this is a pattern that will be seen much more in the future and is essential for the development of virtual worlds. We will have large landscapes, where people can buy houses made of bricks and windows and doors. In their wallet, they will have a house. They can however buy a new door - represented as its own NFT - and attach it to the house. Or, individuals can build houses brick by brick. Whilst the house may be made up of 100s, 1000s, or more individual objects, by the end, they will have 1 house object, an abstraction. This is how things work in the real world. This is the power of Sui Move, bringing composability to objects, much like the real world. Composability of both objects and ideas is an essential part of development, with recombinant object and ideas underpinning innovation. Thank you for minting! The complexity of our dNFTs has introduced some issues as there is currently a lack of support for objects that were previously owned by objects on both marketplaces and explorers, but we’re working with teams across the space to get these rectified. The greater the scope of the project, the more complexity and room for error, but this how things move forward!
