Serial Grave Robber Unearthed 100’s of Bodies in Delco
A Pennsylvania man is accused of robbing graves and stealing human remains from a local cemetery in a case investigators are calling deeply disturbing.
Authorities say Jonathan Gerlach, 34, was arrested after a months-long investigation into grave disturbances at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Delaware County.
🔹 Investigators allege bones were removed from multiple graves
🔹 Search warrants uncovered over 100 human skeletons at a home and storage unit
🔹 Some remains are believed to be very old, others possibly infants
🔹 Charges include abuse of a corpse, desecration, burglary, and theft of venerated objects
🔹 Bail reportedly set at $1 million
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional cemeteries may be involved.
