So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

The Germans made her develop photographs of her family’s murder.
She secretly kept copies.
On August 14, 1942, German forces massacred 1,850 Jews from the ghetto of Lenin, in present-day Belarus—including Faye Schulman’s parents, sisters, and younger brother.
Faye was among just 26 people spared. Her photography skills made her useful to the killers.
When ordered to develop their photographs of the massacre, she secretly made an extra set—preserving evidence of the crime.
She later escaped during a partisan raid and joined a Soviet partisan unit in the forest. With no medical experience, she became a nurse. Their doctor had been a veterinarian; their operating table was made from tree branches.
During another raid, she recovered her photographic equipment.
She developed negatives beneath blankets, printed photographs using sunlight, and buried her camera before missions to keep it safe.
One photograph shows her smiling beside three Jewish friends. Each had believed the others dead. Amid the fighting—and antisemitism within her own unit—their reunion offered a rare moment of relief.
More than a hundred photographs preserved her world: wounded comrades, forest camps, funerals, friendship.
“I was a photographer. I have pictures. I have proof.”
Faye settled in Canada after the war. She died on April 24, 2021, aged 101. Her photographs still bear witness.

Happy 102nd Birthday to the incredible Dorothea Barron!🇬🇧❤️
A true WW2inspiration, Dorothea joined the WRNS at just 18, even putting cardboard in her shoes to meet the height requirement!
“I put my hair up and stood up very tall, as tall as I could.”
She went on to teach semaphore signalling to troops ahead of D-Day.
What a remarkable lady! Thank you for your service, Dorothea.

Van Gogh painted this in one of the happiest moments of his life, for a friend he couldn’t wait to welcome home, and he had no idea what was coming...
In the summer of 1888 Vincent was living alone in a small yellow house in Arles, in the south of France, and he had a dream: to turn it into a home for artists, a place where painters could live and work together. The first to come would be his friend Paul Gauguin, and Vincent wanted the room waiting for him to be beautiful. So he decided to fill it with flowers. As he wrote to his brother Theo: “Nothing but large sunflowers.”
He painted as fast as he could, racing against the summer, because sunflowers wilt within days. By the end of August he had finished four canvases, bright yellow blooms in a simple vase, some fresh and open, some already drooping and going to seed. Gauguin finally arrived in October, saw them on the walls, and loved them.
But that happiness didn’t last: two strong, difficult men under one roof began to clash, and just before Christmas, after a bitter argument, Vincent suffered the breakdown in which he cut off part of his ear. Gauguin left Arles and never came back.
The dream of the yellow house was over after just nine weeks...
Despite everything, Vincent never stopped loving those flowers, and in the weeks after his breakdown, he painted the sunflowers again, copying his own pictures, as if he were trying to hold on to that summer when everything still seemed possible. Some painters, he told Theo, were known for their peonies or their hollyhocks, “but I have the sunflower, in a way.” And he described what they meant to him in a few simple words: they were his way of “symbolizing gratitude.”

In late November 1945, the world would see graphic evidence of the concentration camps on screens in the Nuremberg courtroom.
What had been dismissed as Allied propaganda was now incontrovertible.
The full horror of the Holocaust was revealed...

Towards the end of April 1945, Howard’s unit and other American soldiers met Russian troops at the River Elbe, near Torgau in Germany...

On 11 April 1945, a young Jewish American soldier entered Buchenwald concentration camp to liberate it.
Piles of childrens shoes and emaciated survivors greeted him.
The horrors he saw that day would haunt him for life:

A federal judge has dismissed "Gaines v. NCAA," ruling that the NCAA is not subject to Title IX because it does not directly receive federal funds. Unfortunately, the court never reached the question at the heart of the case: whether allowing male athletes into women's competitions and locker rooms violates women's rights.
The NCAA writes eligibility rules for more than 1,100 colleges -- yet under this ruling, the athletes most affected by those rules cannot hold the NCAA accountable under the law written to protect them. On the same day, the Senate voted to hand the NCAA new antitrust protections through the Protect College Sports Act.
@fairforall_org stands with Riley Gaines and her fellow plaintiffs as they appeal. Fairness for women athletes cannot depend on a governing body that claims the law doesn't reach it. Congress should close this gap, and FAIR will keep pushing until it does. #TitleIX

The Jewish survivor who sat daily with Hitler’s top Nazis in their Nuremberg prison cells, translated their darkest secrets for the psychiatrists.
Those men murdered his parents, but he had no bitterness, just extraordinary humanity.

I’ve spent almost six years now explaining that:
* It is impossible to change sex and cruel to lie to children about it;
* Puberty is the essential process of developing from a child to an adult and it is cruel to block it;
* Female athletes have struggled hard to promote women’s sport and it is cruel to allow their opportunities to be taken by boys and men.
* Women deserve single-sex spaces and it is cruel to insist they must share all spaces with men.
Those who have rebranded cruelty as “progressive” have brainwashed quite a few people.
The non brainwashed will continue to advocate for the rights of women and LGB people and child safeguarding.
This is not about right versus left.
It’s about right versus wrong.

This is the plantation owner mentality that persists in liberal academia and art circles to this day. It’s the modern day house slave/field slave option offered to Black people who want to pursue their careers. It invites Black people to divide themselves into a hierarchy:

We were told that #Lambeth had received an opinion from a QC about the Hondo Tower, yet none of us has seen it: teapaw.org/PeoplesAudit/status/13…

The #Lambeth planning offcier said that they have a robust opinion from a QC that Hondo won't be able turn the offices into flats.
Don't believe that for one minute. If it's so robust why hasn't it been publish in the report pack?
