Falcons ST Coordinator Craig Aukerman on Zachariah Brnach's two fumbles vs. Bears:
"The confidence level is still extremely high in Zacharaiah... we just have to get back to the basics with him" [with regards to techniques and returner rules]
This account says Shanahan relying on his intuition specifically in a 51/49 modeled situation is “rejecting analytics” … speaks to the way people completely talk past each other in this debate/hypothetical.
Interesting conversation,
"The analytics say 51% under some generalized assumptions but I'm not accepting it blindly because I might have more context-specific insight" is fine IMO.
"I don't get enough trials to realize the long run so I'm rejecting analytics" is not fine IMO. Classic failure to think probabilistically.
Bijan Robinson on Canadian Matthew Bergeron's nasty streak on the field: "Every person I've met from Canada is super nice... I guess he's been here long enough."
Kevin Stefanski said Andy Dalton will be inactive Sunday vs. SF. He'll work this week on understanding the scheme in the film room and during walkthroughs.
AJ Terrell will return to practice today for the Falcons, opening his 21-day return to play and obviously a chance to play Sunday vs. SF

Not so fun fact: Michael Penix has only won as the starting QB at Mercedes-Benz Stadium three times.
His last win here was just over a calendar year ago on October 13, 2025 vs. the Bills on Monday Night Football.
His wins were his debut as a rookie against the Giants, plus wins over WAS and BUF last season.
Penix said Kendal Daniels was communicating with the team when he was being stretchered off and told them to go finish the game strong.
Stefanksi: "We have to do a better job installing the game plan and a better job executing the game plan."
Kevin Stefanski on Kendal Daniels: "Initial reports are good. He had movement in his extremities... We'll continue to pray that they remain good."
