'LOST STATE:' A Somali daycare owner whose business has faced scrutiny over millions in state and federal funding defeated a Republican incumbent to win a Minnesota House seat.
Abdi Daisane's Blooming Kids Child Care Center has been cited for over a dozen violations, and as sponsored for state funding by a nonprofit that the state claims "knowingly defrauded" Minnesota to the tune of $18 million.

This is something the Community Relations Service used to do, too; Before a busing program launched, get all the news media together for a meeting to go over “best practices” for reporting on school integration.
If there is an incident of violence at a school as a result of busing, best practices include:
- No on-camera interviews with participants or “agitators”
- Avoid inflammatory words like “brutal” or “savage”
- Panoramic shots only, no closeups of blood or weapons
- Don’t report on any story without letting the point person at the school district comment and confirm
- Emphasize that busing is “the law of the land,” so the best thing for everyone is to accept its inevitability and try to make it work
Obviously the effect of these rules was to suppress the public’s awareness of school violence. Even today it is difficult to find sources that describe the violence we all know was happening.

Nobody ever talks about this, but the reason you have to go to college is A, because Griggs v. Duke Power Company made it illegal for presumptive employers to IQ test, and B, inner city High-Schools basically aren't allowed to fail a student as long as they physically show up.
So you end up in this trap where a High-School diploma that you worked very hard for means nothing, because a kid who did coloring books and addition and subtraction got a paper saying he has the same qualification. Ok, then just give me an intelligence test, oh wait you cant, thats also illegal because it causes "disparate impact". So now the only proxy for basically literacy and ~105~ IQ is a 4 year meaningless degree that costs 10s of thousands of dollars.
But wait, now they hand those out to anyone, (1/4 of 4yr grads have an IQ of or below 95), so now you need a Master's, or specialty training, or a million other bullshit things. So you get them, but wait, a diploma mill in Hyderabad cranked out 100M guys who also have a Master's on paper, and will work for 1/3 the price, so now you dont have a job. Ok, ill work construction, but wait, you dont live in a State with strong Unions, so any non-specialized construction work is done by slaves from Guatemala, so you decide to stay home and take Percocet instead.

The most comprehensive poll of foreign policy views of MAGA voters under 30 was done by the Reagan Institute this summer.
Among other findings 73 supported military action in Iran, and 61 percent wanted to see the Iranian regime either removed or weakened, while just 35 percent said they prefer a “negotiated settlement” in which “Iran’s current government remains in exchange for verifiable limits on its nuclear and missile programs.”
Overall, MAGA Republicans are more hawkish and less isolationist than any other segment of the American electorate. And young MAGA voters don’t want America to pull back from the world; they want to lead it.
Though younger MAGA voters are less supportive than older ones, solid majorities still back the Jewish state: 60 percent of MAGA voters under 30 approve of sending U.S. weapons to Israel, compared with 72 percent of older MAGA voters — far above the paltry 37 percent of Democrats who do. And 63 percent say that the security of Israel “matters to U.S. security and prosperity.” They are not demanding we “change our relationship with Israel” as the VP claims.
Sorry, but the whole narrative of “Zombie Reaganism” driven by older Republicans with gauzy memories of a bygone era of 1980s GOP world leadership is a myth.
