In the past century, the global tiger population has drastically fallen.
Illegal trade, habitat loss & poaching are some of the major threats they face.
On Wednesday's #InternationalTigerDay, spread the word & encourage others to help protect big cats.

We all rely on infrastructure, but where and how it is built can make a big difference for migratory species. 🚊🐘
Roads, railways, renewable energy projects and other developments can cut across migration routes, fragment habitats, weaken ecological connectivity, and even create acoustic disturbances.
However, these risks can be reduced. Considering migratory species early in the planning, using better data, assessing cumulative effects and monitoring mitigation measures over time can help keep migration routes safe and connected as infrastructure develops.

In many parts of the world, summer is well underway. ☀️🌊
Beaches, boat trips and wildlife encounters may be part of the holiday season, but how we experience marine wildlife matters.
Whether you’re watching dolphins, snorkelling on wildlife-rich reefs or joining a whale-watching tour, small actions can make a big difference for migratory marine species.
The CMS International Guidelines for Sustainable Marine Wildlife Interactions: Boat-Based & In-Water Activities offer simple ways to help protect wildlife.

Wind energy is essential to tackling the climate crisis, but it must also be planned and operated in ways that protect migratory species.
In a new webinar recording, Dr. @WinifredFrick, Chief Scientist at @BatConIntl, shares evidence, guidance and resources on how wind energy projects can reduce risks to bats. 🦇
Learn why bats matter, why they are vulnerable to wind turbines, and how practical solutions such as careful siting, curtailment, monitoring and adaptive management can help reduce impacts.
Reducing risks to bats as wind energy expands is part of building better climate solutions! Watch the recording: youtube.com/watch?v=Qr4hQc1a…
