The Second Apron is coming: How will OKC weather the storm? @JohnG_NBA on the Thunder's choices as their young, cheap players reach their paydays this season and beyond: dailythunder.com/thunder-jou…
While other teams panic, @okcthunder is prioritizing defensive continuity. Losing Joe's weak-side gravity hurts spacing, but securing reps for Cason Wallace as a secondary creator is the smart long-term play. A breakdown of the tactical trade-offs: dailythunder.com/thunder-jou… #ThunderUp

CALM IN THE STORM. OKC worked the margins while everyone else went big this offseason. In his first article for Daily Thunder, @JohnG_NBA says Sam Presti is balancing the roster--and the checkbook--to keep the Thunder in contention for years to come: dailythunder.com/thunder-jou…
The first edition of the Thunder Journal comes out tomorrow for @dailythunder. I dive into Presti's approach to the offseason and why it was the strategy for keeping OKC among the league's premier title contenders. Be sure to check it out! #ThunderUp
I will always respect Mitch and what he did to help bring a championship to New York. At the same time, paying him what he got from Boston is risky and I’m okay with the @nyknicks passing on it. #alwaysknicks

BOLT: The Barnhizer QO was expected, and changes almost nothing for OKC's 2026-27 outlook. dailythunder.com/thunder-bol…
I am not convinced that this means Kenrich Williams is not a member of the @okcthunder next season. Maybe a team pays more than OKC is willing to, but I see a more team-friendly deal coming. #ThunderUp
I am so thankful for the abundance of @okcthunder fans following me since I announced joining @dailythunder yesterday. It truly means a lot. While my first piece for Daily Thunder is not set to come out until the middle of next week, I wanted to drop some of my previous Thunder work for people to get a sense of my writing. Feel free to check it out if you’d like. #ThunderUp lastwordonsports.com/basketb…
Love this deal. Retaining Shamet’s perimeter shooting at a $6M AAV gives the Knicks the reliable backcourt depth they need. From a front office perspective, making this move strongly suggests Dolan is fully prepared to cross the second apron to keep this rotation intact. #AlwaysKnicks
From a pure asset management and gameplay perspective, this made the most sense, even if they plan to trade Dort. Love what Lu brings to the perimeter, but balancing the cap sheet and long-term roster timelines has to take priority. #ThunderUp
Today is the deadline for Lu Dort’s $17.7M team option, and the credible chatter is that OKC might opt-in just to trade him. I know losing his point-of-attack defense is a tough pill to swallow. But we have to look at the math. This core is getting expensive fast, and moving off that money keeps the team out of the dreaded second apron. Plus, drafting 7'3" Aday Mara at No. 12 makes the financial gymnastics a bit easier. Mara held opponents to 45.3% at the rim at Michigan and forced a pass-out on 22.5% of paint touches. When you can land that kind of elite interior gravity on a rookie-scale deal, sacrificing a perimeter contract becomes much more survivable. What do you all think? Are you willing to lose an elite perimeter defender to keep the long-term books clean? #ThunderUp
Excited to announce that I will be contributing written content for @dailythunder. @okcthunder fans, please give me a follow.
Put together a piece on @nyknicks second round pick Jack Kayil. I try to stay realistic when it comes to second round selections but there is a decent amount to like. #AlwaysKnicks lastwordonsports.com/basketb…
While the backcourt rightfully earned the headlines, the true anatomy of the Knicks' 2026 championship was anchored in the paint. Karl-Anthony Towns transformed his game when it mattered most. He sacrificed shot volume for elite efficiency and relentlessly punished double-teams with his passing.
