Prof. Robert Pape: ‘The profile of those who commit POLITICAL VIOLENCE in the USA🇺🇸 is unlike anything I’ve seen in 30 years.’ ‘We studied all the perpetrators in 2020 who were doing political violence, and that of course included 2021 January 6th, and we studied 1575, and I have never seen profile like that before in my 30 years of studying political violence. Only one in 10 of the 1575 who stormed the Capitol were members of militia groups, and that includes only one in 10 of the 600 who beat up cops were militia group members. 45 percent were doctors, lawyers, accountants, IT specialists, State Department employees, business owners. Prof. Robert Pape: Unpopular Iran War and midterm elections intersecting is a ‘NIGHTMARE SCENARIO’ for potential political violence. ‘My worst nightmare is we would come to an election, very contentious, in the midst of a very unpopular, costly war, and I've been modelling the bombing of Iran for 20 years. The scenario I most worried about would be either in 2026 or 2028, we would go into a very contentious election, and at the same time we'd have the Iran war. And that is what's happened, and it is producing all these consequences that I've been concerned about, and that's why I started The Escalation Trap very soon. Now the Iran war and the midterms are intersecting with each other, where the gas prices go up. That point I made, sir, in the book about the economic shift of wealth to the top 1%, causing the bottom 90 percent to feel impoverished, it's now happening even more because of the Iran war.
