England looked much better with Jez Litten and Sam Walters on the pitch. Harry Smith drilling the ball into touch with ten minutes to go when we’re chasing points was class.
I had no emotional investment in this World Cup anyway but @England_RL are rubbish. I bet Jake Connor is laughing his socks off at home watching ‘The General’ Harry Smith.
Some of my early reflections on last night; Sam Burgess lacks any form of coaching nous, George Williams’ time here goes down as a complete failure and the forward pack simply isn’t good enough. However, on the plus side, at least we’re getting rid of plenty of deadwood.
There’s always next year, or the one after that. Well done to @WTrinityRL, they were miles better than us. I actually thought it might be different this time around but maybe some things just aren’t meant to be. 😢
Here we go then, it all comes down to this! We’ve shown courage and desire in abundance this year. We’ve stayed in the fight despite being down on troops at times. These players deserve the opportunity to etch their names in history. Go well @WarringtonRLFC. 🐺
I will never understand why people, especially fully grown adults, wave and clap at a coach. I’m just glad we’re not participating in any of this nonsense.
And they’re off! The @WTrinityRL team coach is on its way to Old Trafford for tomorrow’s @SuperLeague Grand Final @itvcalendar
I genuinely don’t know how I feel about that as a @WarringtonRLFC fan. Congratulations to @WTrinityRL, that’s a magnificent effort. There will be a new name on the Super League trophy which is great for the sport but Daryl Powell beating us at Old Trafford could be the end of me.
Good morning @M_Shaw1, yet another incorrect prediction last night. Just do us a favour and back Wigan next week please.
We live for nights like this; just one more to go @WarringtonRLFC.
He’s insufferable this bloke, crying all over Twitter because his beloved @hullkrofficial have been dumped out by a club he hates. 😭
We absolutely smoked them, get in there @WarringtonRLFC! The dream continues for another week at least. 🐺
Jai Field and Adam Keighran have been robbed here, Lachie Miller and Umyla Hanley are ridiculous inclusions. Isaiah Vagana is also extremely unlucky but both of the back rowers have had decent seasons.
I don’t care what anyone says, that’s absolutely brilliant. Some highlights reel for Charlie McKler already, it should be used to promote the sport far and wide.
Great night for the club that, one we should be immensely proud of with twelve homegrown players in the side. Lachlan Webster fighting people, Ewan Smith tackling anything that moves and Charlie McKler whacking people; there’s just so much to like about @WarringtonRLFC.
Good luck to all of the young lads on show for @WarringtonRLFC later on, I’m sure they’ll hold their own. It’s my first and only miss of the season tonight. 😢
Well done to @WiganWarriorsRL academy, it’s some achievement going all year unbeaten. Great battle up front between Shea O’Connor and Isaac Holdsworth.
That’s our annual defeat at Belle Vue out of the way, we may as well forfeit this fixture going forward. I really don’t understand our obsession with taking the two but I’m really pleased for Charlie McKler on debut. George Williams was our best player by some distance.
Warrington reserves win in golden point and are through to the Grand Final; Charlie McKler lead the way as usual with an inspirational performance. It will be a travesty if he doesn’t make his first team debut this year.
Just the 24 carries and 239 metres for Matty Ashton last night, five tackle busts and one try for good measure too. Albert Hopoate and George Williams posting some ridiculous numbers too; 191 metres and 177 metres respectively. Big players really standing up for us. 🐺
That’s another absolutely outstanding effort from @WarringtonRLFC; the vast majority of them players are running on fumes. We showed some serious character there having lost three players due to injury during the game.
