Once upon a time, I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to either be a pediatrician (because I love kids) or a veterinarian (because I love animals)… When I was a freshman in college, I was at a crossroads: do I pursue the medical field or do I pursue writing. I decided to go forward with the start of pre-med classes. One of my requirements was psychology. The class was interesting and highly educational, but after I finished it, I didn’t feel fulfilled. Plus, the writing part of me kept gnawing at my mind. I was always deep in my vivid imagination. Planning stories about a heroic guy who gets the girl at the end. Yes, I was and always will be a hopeless romantic 😂 To make a long story short, it’s funny how life brought me back to the medical field but at a different capacity. I worked closely with doctors for over a decade and for the most part it has been very fulfilling. To be able to help people in their time of need and hearing the doctors (and patients) tell me how incredible I am at my job always humbled me. I am (and will always be) VERY grateful and thankful for that part of my life. I’m still doing it too. It’s my day job. It wasn’t until after a really terrible heartache where I truly realized my calling as a writer. It’s been in my heart since I was a little kid. I had (and still do) big, larger-than-life dreams about fame, fortune and being able to help others achieve their dreams. Through my relationship with Jesus, I truly discovered how effortless writing felt. It was like breathing. Every time I wanted to quit and tried to move away from it, it felt wrong. Like I’m severing a vital piece of me. I am now six books into my career as an author with a seventh one in progress. All in the span of only a few years. I have met and collaborated with incredible people from all across the world and continue to do it everyday. I can’t thank you guys enough for the love and support. It is a blessing, a gift, and my absolute pleasure to bring you these stories. You guys are amazing. Trust the process 👊😎
