This morning I mentioned in my sermon how influential James K.A. Smith has been to my own understanding of human flourishing ("The Good Life"). I'm working my way through this trilogy and highly recommend them. I also recommend St. Augustine, on whom J. Smith heavily relies.

@JohnsonFerry Our first international trip since COVID just returned from S Asia. The team took sidewalk chalk, which was an amazing tool for our partners to strengthen relationships, as many local kids had never seen or played with it before!

Each Monday @JohnsonFerry teams head over to Walton Apartments to play and bring summer fun to kids in the neighborhood while also sharing about Jesus. Pray for these teams and kids as they finish up the summer!

Preaching Esther 4 tomorrow.
Pivotal chapter. Up to this point in the narrative, Mordecai and Esther have done nothing to reveal a deep faith. If anything, they are a major compromisers. They are hiding in a land they shouldn't be in.
What will they do tomorrow?
