In an unusual move, @Europarl_EU rejected #EUETS report in #EPplenary session today. Now back to @EP_ENVI to form viable majority for strong ETS, including:
✅Overall ambition > 68%
✅Timely phase out of free ETS allowances
✅Fair & robust conditionality for free ETS allowances

❗ A new #ClimateReport from @IPCC_CH shows the frightening future that awaits us if we fail to act on the #ClimateCrisis ❗
World leaders must listen & act NOW to ensure the 1.5˚C goal of the Paris Agreement doesn’t slip away. We're running out of time! bit.ly/3fNijWT
So far, only 58% of countries have submitted revised NDCs to the @UNFCCC & in many countries there's a gap between words & actions. To reach the #ParisAgreement goals, we need bold #ClimateAction. Not only from governments, but from organisations too. Join #BACA and do your part!
Countries delay upping climate action with only 57% of countries representing 54% of global emissions submitting their #NDCs to the @UNFCCC by end of July, just three months to @COP26. ow.ly/VXgg50FJrrx
