Personally as a trans woman, i don't care how a game promotes or care about the opinions of a streamer and demand they obey my beliefs or cancel them.
Shit is so cringe.

All of these DBD players saying they feel “unsafe” playing a video game is the most performative nonsense in a while. What’s going to happen? Are the mean words gonna jump through your screen and attack you? It’s so ridiculous.
Asmongold believes most people on the internet don’t actually play games, they just want to push their weird political agendas because they can’t accept someone else’s political views, after seeing no change in D*ad by Daylight’s player count despite people claiming they were going to boycott the game over the whole BurntPeanut drama 👀😬
“All these people that were saying they were boycotting the game have made literally zero impact on the graph. Zero impact because all these people on social media. Social media frustrations. Here's the big problem. A lot of people that are on social media don't actually play video games. These are, like, weird political advocates that are just pushing the stuff because they view Peanut as a person that is not politically on their side in their own mind”

Replying to @KillerKeeWee
Horror is currently more mainstream than ever, and it being an LGBTQ community could not be farther from the truth. Horror has been colonized by normal people, and has been for a while. You can try to say this is the way things used to be, so it should always be that way, but that would be too ironic, if you know you know.

Asmongold (@Asmongold) explains why it is important to be aggressive against people who have hijacked our gaming communities.
This comes after the far-left have begun boycotting Dead By Daylight (@DeadbyDaylight) for partnering with TheBurntPeanut (@theburntpeanut).
Asmongold shares his perspective on the BurntPeanut/Dead by Daylight drama
"Everybody should care about this bc it's another example of the deranged mentally ill crowd of people that have tried to bully a company into not associating with somebody based off of bs..they have collectively gotten together to ch-mp out over Peanut being accepted by the DbD developers"
"This is why I think we need to be so aggressive against these people..these people will dominate the conversations and they will define the culture bc they crash out..this is why every single negative psychotic comment that you guys make, as long as it's not encouraging violence or ToS, I'm pretty much in favor of..bc unless you want to have every single community run by performative drag queens..what these people really care about is control, and they're bullies, and until they are made to stop, they will not stop..no world in which you can coexist with these people"

dbd chuds, know that we’re all in this together. take over the spaces, reply to and mention people, keep pressing on social media if you can 🩵
keep farming content, and don’t listen to anyone who is negative if you do continue to play dbd at this time!

Asmongold reacts to the Dead by Daylight developers folding under 0 pressure after promoting TheBurntPeanut
"So basically Dead by Daylight promoted TheBurntPeanut and gave him a bunch of skins and everything in the game. People got mad about it and Dead by Daylight was like, we can handle this. We don't care. It's not a big deal."
"What these people have done is collectively gotten together to chimp out over a peanut being accepted by the Dead by Daylight developers. Everybody is crying about this. It's another example of these people that get together and they collectively bully a developer by crashing out on social media for a couple of days, and they make a developer do something differently."
"So they folded under zero pressure. That's basically what happened. This is why I think that we need to be so aggressive against these people. If we're not aggressive against these people, these people will dominate the conversations and they will define the culture because they do jump out, they do crash out."
"Every single hostile, negative, psychotic comment that you guys make, as long as it's not encouraging violence, I'm pretty much in favour of. You guys need to come out and be a lot more outspoken about this, because unless you want to have every single community run by performative drag queens. What these people really care about is control and power. And they are bullies. And until they are made to stop, they will not stop."
"There is no world in which you can coexist with these people. You either have to take the culture back out of their hands that they are trying to define, or you should expect them to define every aspect of your life and culture and then tell you how you need to behave. These people are genuinely a malignant cancer into any community and any area that they touch. They get together and they bully a company like this, and then the company capitulates to them, and then it creates a feedback loop."

I started playing Dead by Daylight years ago. 1,396 hours. Uninstalled.
I stopped playing because of the player base, and this week is proving exactly why.
Behaviour gave one of the biggest streamers on Twitch every character so he could play the game properly on stream. Behaviour's own statement says unlocking content for creators trying the game is normal. That's promotion. That's new eyes on a game that needs them.
And the community's response? Pile on the streamer, then send threats to the community manager who set it up. Over characters. In a video game.
You want new players, but you attack the biggest streamer to give your game a shot, and you go after the staff who made it happen. Then you wonder why nobody new sticks around.
I loved this game. I put nearly 1,400 hours into it. But this is why I left, and honestly, watching this, I'm glad I did.
It's a game. Get over it.

This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
