I will often hear people claiming to "love Jesus" but they do not love His exclusivistic truth claims. Similarly, I hear many claiming to be "Christians" but they despise His instructions to love our enemies.

Humbling ourselves before God means owning up to our wrongs, repenting for empowering those who went on to prey upon others (Bolz, Bentley) and seeking the forgiveness of those we have wounded. When @MikeWingerii and @RonSCantor confronted Che, there was supposedly some investigation that was announced and then never mentioned again as far as I can see. Performative revivalism is not a substitute for genuine repentance. "I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." (Amos 5:21–24, ESV)
There’s still room for you. In just four days, pastors, leaders, and believers from across Los Angeles will fill Ambassador Auditorium with one purpose: to humble ourselves, seek God’s face, and pray for revival in our city. If you’ve been meaning to sign up, this is your moment. It’s not too late. “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face… then I will hear from heaven.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) SOLEMN ASSEMBLY
🗓 This Saturday, October 31 | 9AM–1PM
 📍 Ambassador Auditorium, Pasadena

I would like @seanfeucht to stop using my ministry's content to fundraise for his own purposes. Stealing our content to fundraise is not only unethical, it takes away from a ministry that's actually helping persecuted Christians in Nigeria. @masskeemz works for us. He risks his life every day to tell the world about the genocide in Nigeria. Stealing his content is a slap in the face to him and all of the other TruthNigeria.com journalists. To Everyone reading this, Please stop giving to ambulance chasers jumping onto crisis fads. They are not effective and they use YOUR emotions to build their lists and move on to the next shiny fad. Work with missionaries who were helping Christians in Nigeria before it was "cool". EquippingThePersecuted.org has been on the ground in Nigeria for the last 7 years. We have a proven track record of helping over 500,000 persecuted Christians since 2019. We have a staff of over 280 Nigerians responding to attacks within 24 hrs. My full response video will come out on Monday. If Sean doesn't stop, I am calling my attorneys. @MikeWingerii @megbasham

Pastor Bruce Mejia preached a message called "The Jews killed Jesus," and referred to this as a doctrine of the Christian faith. He holds all Jews responsible for the death of Jesus, who actually said that his mission was to die for our sins.

Proof that @kathrynkrick's spiritual father is lying: GeorDavie claimed that Melissa Archer came to him about her "issue she was experiencing in her body." If this were true, why did she ask him in the text messages (texts which he does not dispute, btw) why he brought it up? And why was his response, "because the prophet sees you naked." He could have said, "because you asked for prayer about that." He didn't. Instead, he appealed to special revelation. "So that you could have more faith prophetically like Jesus with the woman at the well." —GeorDiddy This is a lie.

Jason Arday lied about his backstory, plagiarized extensively, was promoted by a culture of blind loyalty to the cause rather than commitment to truth... Sounds just like a popular "Bible translator" I know...
I'm just catching up on the scandal of British academic Jason Arday who apparently exaggerated many aspects of his back story while copy/pasting the work of others, including typos. I'm so thankful such a thing would never happen in the world of Bible Translation because the Body of Christ is full of leaders with integrity and courage. Or something like that.

Yesterday, @JonmarkBaker and I released a video responding to the recent allegations surrounding Kathryn Krick and her mentor GeorDavie. One of the allegations is that GeorDavie privately texted a woman disgusting things and then asked her to put her hands over sensitive parts of her body to "cleanse" her. Today we received this comment ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 1/

This is still live on the official Passion Translation website. They have been bragging about their "rigorous review process" since 2017. This "extensive and diverse team" has already fully "revised" the New Testament three times (2017, 2018 2020) Two of these reviews (2018, 2020) took place AFTER massive fraud had been brought to the attention of the publisher in 2017. Notice how they say "including the footnotes." The footnotes of TPT are full of plagiarism, typos, incorrect transliterations copied from fringe sources, and just straight up nonsense. TPT implies that certain Ph.D scholars reviewed the entire project, when in fact they only reviewed a handful of books and much of their feedback was rejected by Brian Simmons in favor his own Kabbalistic nonsense, NAR buzzwords, and mish-mashed copy/pasting. Now, we are told by Bethel, YouVersion, and others that there are "reviews in process," and the language seems to indicate that BroadStreet is overseeing those "reviews." If the purpose of the "team" was to "ensure the Passion Translation is faithful to the Biblical text and the heart of God," they failed spectacularly.

I appreciate scholars giving their insights into TPT but I fear that David didn’t look into it very deeply and too quickly offered praise for what is a subversive work intentionally changing Scripture at many points for Brian Simmons’ agenda. He didn’t address the many false claims about Hebrew and Greek in the footnotes, the clear theological bias (imagine calling the NWT wooden but not mentioning it’s agenda to eliminate the deity of Christ), Brian’s lack of credentials or experience (proven through multiple sources), etc. for example, Victor Alexander is mentioned as a source for Brian and claims that Brian plagiarized are treated as possible but their’s no mention that Alexander is a wild card who has no training himself and who claimed he was translating the from the original Aramaic texts that nobody has ever translated before. When pressed Alexander, much like Joseph Smith, refused to show anyone his actual original documents. When his work is examined one finds that he was just making stuff up. He offered all kinds of strange new meanings and connections that nobody would support or respect. Even his publisher pulled the work from the public because of how bad it was. That is, until Brian Simmons came along and copy-pasted those same grandiose delusions into his own Bible, often without attribution. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope David will reconsider what he wrote because he probably doesn’t realize how his “I like it” will be used to dupe unaware Christians. For David to say he’d be fine with TPT if it was just called a paraphrase is a major mistake.

This verse is about loving wisdom, not about loving God. It is a poetic illustration of the value of wisdom. It is not a promise of riches for everyone who loves God. The Passion Translation empowers false teaching through exaggerating the actual text.
We have great promises in God's Word, such as the one found in Proverbs 8:21 in the Passion Translation, "Those who love Me gain great wealth and a glorious inheritance, and I will fill their lives with treasures." This verse makes it clear that our glorious inheritance includes salvation, healing, prosperity, and a life filled with treasures. This promise belongs to everyone that loves God!

The Passion Translation is currently in the middle of a cover-up project dripping with deceit, broken promises, money grubbing, and the hiding of Brian Simmons’ abuse of Scripture. If you aren’t well informed about this you may think I am overreacting. If you are well informed, you know I’m not. Simmons, Broadstreet Publishing, Bethel, Hillsong, and many others are helping to perpetrate a fraudulent replacement of God’s Word by aiding Simmons in his coverup. It is infuriating how little these people care about Scripture while they prance around acting like they love it. I predict that if the tide goes against them so hard that they finally have to abandon this disgraceful butchering of the Bible they will come out telling you all they had no idea. They were just being nice and hopeful. They are only guilty of trying too hard to see the move of the Spirit. They’ll pretend ignorance about the countless people who have come to them with evidence, scholarly testimony, and clear proofs that Brian is a fraud. A fraud! Don’t believe them. And not just for some sense of vengeance or grudge. No. Let’s not allow their evil to overcome us and bring us into the place where only God stands. Rather, we need to learn that these guys don’t have discernment and not only aren’t safe leaders, they feed their flocks to the wolves and will do it again. Run from them. Ignore them. Forget them.

It should be very clear by now, but if not: Plagiarism is stealing the work of others. I have firsthand knowledge that many endorsers of the TPT are now aware of the plagiarism allegations. What is their response? They don't care.

Imagine a "Passion Translation Bible Study" (sadly, these do exist) on Galatians 6:6 Person #1 has the 2013 version of which says: "And those who are taught the Word will receive an impartation from their teacher; a transference of anointing takes place between them." They share that God is giving them a "revelation" about the importance of going to conferences to receive an "impartation of anointing" from major Charismatic teachers. But Person #2 chimes in with the 2017 version: "And those who are taught the Word must share all good things with their teacher; a sharing of wealth takes place between them." They share that God is giving them the "revelation" that they need to double their "seed" to their favorite televangelist because they desire a "sharing of wealth." Finally, Person #3 chimes in with the 2020 version: "And those who are taught the Word must share all good things with their teacher." They share about the importance of contributing to their local church in order to support the pastors. Can you imagine the chaos? All three of these "translations" were done by the same man who claims to have been translating "directly from Greek" all three times. What happened here? The original edition represents what Brian wanted to insert into God's word. (transference of "anointing") But the pushback was too much. So what happened next time? Brian picked another doctrine to insert, but this time it was prosperity. ("sharing of wealth") But the pushback was too much. So finally he picked a translation not too different from other versions. The revisions don't reveal Brian's humility and desire to honor God's word. The revisions reveal that Brian will insert as much of his own personal beliefs as he can until the moment he gets caught. Then he'll change whatever he needs to change to keep the fraud going. @YouVersion you should move a little quicker. It's only getting worse.

The Charismatic movement has taught that prayer is a means of governing the world. Decrees, commands, and demands are common. For instance, Bob Jones once taught that an outbreak of a particular disease was the result of him not "taking authority" over it through a decree. He said, "God was angry at me. He asked how long I was going to let this continue." Prayer, on this view, is a means by which we ALLOW God to rule. The Kingdom is no longer something God gives to us, we give it to Him. But the prayers of Jesus, literally God in the flesh, were examples of humble submission and petition to God the Father. Many mass prayer events have been orchestrated upon the concept that perhaps God's Kingdom might come because of our many words. But it is my opinion that this is a misunderstanding of the nature and purpose of intercessory prayer. Whereas the NAR concept of dominionism implies that we establish the Kingdom of God on the seven mountains through declarations and influence, the Biblical view is that God graciously gives His Kingdom to His "little flock." The meek, the poor in spirit, little children; God gives His Kingdom to these. We are invited to petition our loving, Heavenly Father for His will to be made manifest on the earth, and in so doing, we can enjoy fellowship with Him. We are not invited to make demands, decrees, declarations, or speak words that are efficacious apart from His will and sovereignty. This realization is freeing. I am finally free to trust my Sovereign God. He has a plan. He has a will. I can participate in it, but He does not require me to accomplish it. He is bigger than me, more powerful than me, and he never needed me. Which tells me that the invitation to pray is not because He needs it for His plans to work out. Rather, that He desires to fellowship with those He has adopted by the blood of His Son. I thank God for the privilege of prayer.

Deception becomes systemic when we use our collective power to protect what we desire to be true rather than face the destruction and the pain that accompanies the actual truth. Deception functions as a narcotic in protecting us from seeing or feeling that which is painful to us.
