Wirtz's passing has been incredibly frustrating

We need Mac Allister and Szoboszlai to dominate the midfield battle today. We know Mac Allister isn't afraid to get stuck in, so need Szoboszlai to do the same.

A win is the only acceptable result today.

We need a big game from Szoboszlai. No excuses. Need to see our attack be more fluid and create chances. This is a poor Palace team and we need to get back to winning ways.

We need to win tomorrow - no excuses. Be very concerning if we don't get the 3 points.

Who would everyone's choice be?

I just can't see O'Connor or Hoult as Bond. Don't think Turner is good enough.

Come the summer, I wonder if we sell 2 out of Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Wirtz.

We need our best players to perform better. Simple as that. We have too many players underperforming.

Also, our squad depth is terrible. Seriously, what was the point in keeping the likes of Endo & Chiesa. Our full backs are terrible. No DM & poor midfield options. Don't create much & struggle to score. We also need the perfect conditions for our £100m+ players to perform.

What is up with Van Dijk's passing

Front 3 of Rio, Munoz and Barcola is exciting.

Carra, didn't you say Szoboszlai wasn't good enough as the #10 when we won the league?

He’s an 8 in a 433. If he plays right in a 4231 it means we have 3 wingers on the bench & this manager loves wingers. In this managers system it’s the 10 so he can press & not lose the balance of the team & shoot as he’s closer to the goal.

Do we just rotate Szoboszlai and Wirtz as the #10 even though there are clear downsides to both playing that role. Do we tweak things and go to a more 4-3-3 and change their position/role e.g. Wirtz off the left, Szoboszlai as the #8, off the right or RB. Not ideal regardless.

Sign a defensive minded midfielder and a full back who is capable of playing a role in build up in January. That should help the #10 (whoever it is) and the attack in general be more effective. Can then reassess in the summer.

Will Wright is on fire this season. Suspect he will be in and around the first team soon enough.
