Wouldn’t be surprised if this pump and dump scheme - which tricked basically everyone - draws the further ire of Gary Gensler and co

Pump / Signal groups are advertising on Twitch as well, trying to get people to buy their "premium" signals. The channel im looking at is just playing a youtube video on repeat of a guy promoting the "Crypto Pump Island" telegram group. The chat is full of bots..
This is why people fall for giveaway scams

Replying to @ashleighschap
@ashleighschap from @Uniswap made some great comments at @EthereumDenver on how we can provide better financial options for people with DeFi. Traditional finance is unclear, with opaque rules, and rife with information asymmetry. She presented four ways we can build better:

5. Facilitate a culture of self reliance: protocols in DeFi are not intermediaries: people interact with complex financial instruments directly, and this will require more self reliance than perhaps is normal in traditional finance

She ended by proposing #FairFi as a way to communicate the true potential of decentralised protocols to the wider public. These are solid points, that not only help people make better financial decisions for themselves, but will also help reduce fraud in the sector.

It would be a dream for @zhusu and me if our small podcast ever made it to the Apple Podcasts homepage where many more people can find it. We have a very small numbers of reviews right now. You'd help us a lot by giving us a rating and your honest opinion. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Decentralised index funds (such as @ndxfi) are interesting. Could be especially nice for users with smaller amounts of capital who want easy exposure to top assets. Once they are more tested, it would be insane if you could use your index token as collateral on e.g. @AaveAave

Very strange looking “decentralised” cryptocurrency “mining” app is #1 free game in the UK app store. What is surprising is they managed to get the bee.com URL, tho the site is unpolished. Seems to be some sort of referral scheme

It's going to really broaden the sector when L2 solutions arrive for DeFi protocols like @AaveAave, @UniswapProtocol, and etc. Those with less capital will be able to make better use of the services, and I think this will inject even more energy into an already exciting space 🤯

Cryptocurrency traders will soon be able to trade tokenized shares of some of the world’s largest companies like Apple and Amazon trib.al/eFRXz2n

Members of cryptocurrency Discord groups have been being spammed by scammers for the past few weeks. They advertise a fake exchange, where you sign up and can claim your "reward", but to do so you must deposit some money first as an "anti-bot" precaution: this is the scam.

This is essentially advanced-fee fraud, but on a fake cryptocurrency exchange. Interestingly, I was spammed by several different accounts, each with the same message, but a different link leading to almost identical websites, but with slightly different names.

The WHOIS information on the sites is probably fake, but indicates the site is registered from Panama. Quick google searches on the phone number and PO Box lead to other scams with the same information, so it could be a generic go-to for scammers.
