This is no time to mince words – this preliminary Supreme Court decision is “egregiously wrong” (to use the Court’s own words). Women have the absolute right to the integrity of their bodies, and the absolute right to determine their own reproductive choices. – at Long Beach, CA
Thank you @GavinNewsom for your leadership.
I just signed legislation banning addictive social media features like infinite scroll for users under 16 and regulating chatbot companion usage by minors.
California will not stand by while unregulated technology puts our children at risk.

We understand there's a candidate at our Administrative HQ in Norwalk talking about ballot processing. Meanwhile, we are here at the Ballot Processing Center where the votes are actually counted.
Let’s Goooooooo!
Proud to have the support of Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal.
We share a belief that California’s housing crisis must be confronted head-on — with solutions that connect housing, mental health care, and addiction treatment.
I look forward to continuing the work of giving our cities and counties the tools they need to move forward and deliver real results for Californians.

Protecting our elections isn’t partisan. It’s foundational to our democracy.
Every eligible voter should be able to vote, and every state and local elections official should be able to administer elections without fear of federal overreach or threats of prosecution.

Social media platforms aren’t simply a place for “speech .” That *was* the case with chronological timelines. But now, you see fed information based on an algorithm w the express purpose to keep you on the platform.
That’s the difference between, say, Signal and TikTok.
We’ve seen censorship of normal free speech. We’ve seen the reverse - allowance of clearly illegal conduct.
Ultimately, it’s not speech or yelling into the void. It’s the algorithm.
I'm concerned about this verdict and the overall trend of treating speech platforms as addictive — and therefore dangerous — products.
Also, the verdict diminishes the responsibility parents have to raise healthy kids. For example:
"Kaley says she began using YouTube at age 6 and Instagram at age 9 and told the jury she was on social media 'all day long' as a child."
Where were the parents?

Big Tech is finally answering for the harm it has caused our children — after years of fighting against common sense regulations, today's verdict shows that they can't escape accountability.
California isn't backing down. We've enacted the nation’s strongest protections, and we'll keep holding companies accountable if they put profit over the lives and well-being of children.
Stay Tuned

Racism anyone?
The radical left has been using fraudulent government programs for a long time to import and retain vast numbers of illegal (and legal, in some cases) immigrants to win elections and turn America into a single-party state, destroying any real democracy.
The more you look at it, the more you will be horrified at what your tax money is doing and the fact that, if this is not reversed, your vote will mean nothing.
The most obvious case example is the Somali voting bloc in Minnesota, a state that historically had zero Somalis, electing Ilhan Omar to the US Congress.
The same is happening in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
