I’m proud to be standing as a Liberal Democrat candidate in the 7 May 2026 local elections for Lee Green (Lewisham).
Promoted by M. Morris on behalf of J. Lucas Mitte (Liberal Democrats), 99 Bradgate Road, London, SE6 4TR.

Why should a pensioner on a £13K income be exempt from income tax when a person of working age is not? Those of working age do not receive free travel or all sorts of other discounts to which pensioners are entitled. We do not exempt people from tax based on how many dependents they have, or how much housing in their area costs, so why exempt individuals based on age?

Did not expect to be speaking in the Lithuanian Parliament on the weekend but there we are.
Politics really can be full of opportunities.
This is the difference between liberals and the “left”.
The left *only* care about beating Andy Burham, even if it means giving up other seats to the Conservatives.
The Lib Dems are fighting to stop Farage getting into government, while also putting pressure on Labour seats.
A truly united left of Labour political party would absolutely terrify the modern day Labour party.
Your Party, Greens, Independents are all placing pressure on Andy Burnham.
At the next General Election, Labour will lose more seats to the Left.

Very much matches what we hear in focus groups with young people, this sense of feeling numb both by how hard it is to get a job and dispiriting applications, but also feelings of precarity in jobs.
"It makes you question the effort you put in."
After applying to more than 115 jobs, graduate Anna describes her experiences of the "demoralising" job market and frustration of being left in a "void of no feedback".

In some way I prefer rejection emails where they just say “you are bad and need to improve xyz ” because being told you’re great but no has a sense of hopelessness.
My first rejection was my biggest contributor because they were honest and told me what I lacked so could improve.
But that was three years ago. Nowadays is always “great work and CV” but.
I follow up these emails for feedback and the feedback was not much I could change. It’s always ‘no direct or different experience’, but I can’t change what my job is, and whenever I ask for professional
Amazing, Sagal basically confirms she does not believe there is anyone else in Labour who could represent her area as good as she can, so she’ll double hat.
Lib Dems have plenty of people willing to to fight for Camden Sq 24/7, not choose between Parliament and Council meetings.
Congrats to Tom on killing the horrid biased account.

Pedro Sanchez destroys their arguments.
Outlasts multiple different British PMs, because PR gives a more constant result and so small swings don’t lead to mass loses and thus panick.
Managed coalitions to deliver more radical reforms than Labour, and kept far-right out twice.

Madrid also gives a different perspective, under PR Ayuso achieved a majority for the conservatives, because ultimately - PR just delivers what voters want.
Many MPs in that article speak on behalf of what voters want. If voters want majority govt, why not just vote for it?
