On a Ferry headed back to the mainland. Lots of jerseys. One dude in a McDavid jersey. I guess I should slash him in the shins or?
My 8 year old daughter asked me if we could watch the game together. She’s never seen 2 minutes of hockey. Brought a tear to my eye.
Random thought: service is likely to be slow at just about any bar tomorrow. There’s a whole generation of servers who have no idea how insane this city gets when the @canucks are in the #NHLPlayoffs . If you run an establishment, bring in more staff than you think!
Listening to Canucks Talk on my commute as I do every day, and want to validate @ThomasDrance . We former DQ employees know how to make blizzards that you don’t know exist, and the one he cited is almost perfect, but Smarties need to be replaced with Skor.

I’m really blessed to have a decent job and haven’t had to actively look for work in years. I was looking at a few postings for someone and found one (unrelated) that asked for a master’s degree and paid $29 an hour. That’s outrageous. Tell me that’s not what it’s like out there.

We’re not bread people but for some reason we have some here today. Just was putting it away and noticed the cardboard bread tag and my first thought was “surprised Albertans never filled my timeline with complaints about the woke left getting rid of the traditional bread tag”
14 is an incredible kid. I mean many days she’s an aggravating teen but also there are times like this. She just set up a giant tent in the backyard, blew up air mattresses and pulled out sleeping bags, now is making s’mores for the younger kids because one of them had a hard day
Has anyone mastered the art of telling those close to them to shelf their insecurities? Like how do you convince someone it’s in their head without insulting them? It seems simple to me: I value you and I’ve never shown you any different so what are we talking about?!
