I'm currently preparing an article for the experimental track of @JournalOVI.
That means: The article is a Quarto document on GitHub, deployed via GitHub Pages. You can add collapsible paragraphs, callouts, Shiny widgets, videos, ... sky is the limit.

Quick update: JoVI is now a full-blown official journal, with our own ISSN (2794-5502) and DOI prefix (doi.org/10.54337/jovi.vXiY.N…), courtesy of Aalborg University press and the Royal Danish Library. 🥳

Fantastic initiative. As an author, the fact that reviews are open and iterative represents an actual service I don’t receive from any other journal or venue.
One question: what’s the turnaround time? If it ends up being way shorter than usual this can become really big!

A paper on open practices is being published in #CHI2023. But unlike the #OpenScience it promotes, it does not share its data. What could be an excellent discussion of research practices is instead a poor example of scrutinizability. A call for openness:
