ALT The cover for Uncanny Magazine Issue 53, “A Rest from the Hunt" by Elaine Ho: a muscular masc centaur with a bare chest and blue horse hide, pointed ears, and long blue hair tied in a ponytail holds a nocked bow in his hands. A femme human with long untied brown hair rides on the saddle wearing a red longcoat with yellow trim, riding pants, and brown boots. The human also has a bow and an arrow nocked and pulled back. Both of them are kissing each other as the white and pale blue clouds and brown earth underneath have lines that imply rapid motion. The quote reads: "I done old, and my children was living Germany and Kenya and my youngest was down in Australia where hotter than here, so I didn’t see no point in going from where I live my whole life."
