“I am a government critic”. You can’t call yourself a government critic. You can’t call yourself an influencer. You can’t call yourself an intellectual. You can’t call yourself a mogul. Etc Others who observe what you do and how you do it can call you any of those things. If you characterize yourself as such, then you are not.

Addressing the General Assembly yesterday, Ambassador @OOtunnu_ recalled the Prayer of St. Francis, his inspiration. The next Secretary-General must help the @UN bridge deepening global divisions and restore its moral authority. That authority does not come from armies or budgets, it flows from the principles of the Charter and the collective will of Member States. #NextSG #OlaraOtunnu4SG

The US just slapped a Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory on Uganda. Why? Because Two (2) people there have died of ebola in 2026. Of a population of 46 million, that's a 0.0000043% risk of dying from ebola. In the US so far this year, 264 people have died in mass shootings. Of a population of 342 million, that's a 0.00008% chance. Simplified: The risk of dying in a mass shooting in the US is 18 times higher than that of dying from ebola in Uganda. Where is the travel advisory? (looking forward to visiting Uganda soon again) travel.state.gov/en/internat…

Cristiano Ronaldo once said that seven games don’t define an entire career. He was absolutely right. The irony is that many of his own fans spent years saying trophies, international success, goals, and statistics were all that mattered. Then Messi won the Copa América. Then the World Cup. Then more Ballons d’Or. By their own standards, he didn’t just catch Ronaldo—he surpassed him. The most ironic part? Messi achieved his greatest international success during what many consider the least impressive period of his career. That’s why football has always been about context, not just numbers. Today, no matter which standard you choose—trophies, individual ability, playmaking, goals, longevity, or performing under pressure—the answer is the same. I’ve never seen a bigger turnaround in football. In the end, Messi won using the very standards that were once used against him.

No man has ever died from being single for too long. Many men have died from being with a toxic, nagging, soul-draining woman. There's a big lesson in there.

Every woman who wants a successful relationship needs to understand male nature. Men and women are not equal. Men will: • Stay silent when hurt. • Think deeply but show less. • Test loyalty through actions. • Observe more than they speak. • Lose interest when unappreciated. • Avoid vulnerability as it’s high-risk. • Stop explaining when misunderstood. • Value peace of mind over attention. • Distance themselves when disrespected. Accept men as they are, not as you wish them to be ladies.

South Africa beat Lesotho 2-0 in the World Cup qualifiers. Mokoena was said to be ineligible to play that game because he had accumulated cards. Ref did his job, SA won by 2-0 but FIFA ruled against SA and overturned the score. Called it a forfeiture and SA lost 3-0, lost three points and Lesotho gained what SA lost. FIFA didn't say because the match commissioner and ref allowed Mokoena to play the result of the game was final. So to suggest that because the ref allowed final to continue, Morocco couldn't have appealed and won is SOMEWAY.
