Lisa Renée Irwin was 10 months old when she vanished from her family's home in Kansas City, Missouri, in October 2011. On the evening of October 3, her mother, Deborah Bradley, put Lisa to bed and spent the night drinking with a friend. Lisa's father, Jeremy Irwin, was working an overnight shift. When Jeremy came home at around 4:00 a.m. on October 4, he found the front door open and the lights on inside the house. Lisa was not in her crib. Police launched a large search of the neighborhood, but no trace of the baby was found. Three cell phones had also disappeared from the home, and investigators said one of them had been used for a short call around midnight. Surveillance footage from the area reportedly showed a man dressed in white walking out of nearby woods at about 2:30 a.m. He was never identified. Later that month, a cadaver dog reportedly alerted to the scent of death in Bradley's bedroom. Bradley admitted she had been drinking heavily that night, and she said police told her she had failed a polygraph test. She denied any involvement in her daughter's disappearance and was never charged with a crime. Both parents have continued to insist that Lisa was taken from the house by someone else.
