Big congrats to @jrdothoughts @admff492 and the @SentoraHQ team. Solving one of the more intractable problems in DeFi is a big deal.
Today, @Firelightfi is finally live and the journey to solve cover/insurance in DeFi at scale officially starts: xitter.cf/Firelightfi/status/210…
I worked on this project alongside an amazing team and incredible partners for over a year. Here is an essay of the vision and roadmap : jrodthoughts.medium.com/fire…
Incubated by @SentoraHQ, Firelight starts from a simple observation: DeFi has made capital programmable. Its protection should be programmable too. Protection should be a key primitive of DeFi just as lending and market making.
A better ship reduces the chance of sinking. Insurance determines whether one lost shipment also destroys the merchant’s business. DeFi needs both better engineering and credible mechanisms for transferring defined losses.
In my essay, I explain our vision for programmable insurance: cover that vaults, protocols, exchanges, and fintechs can embed directly into their products, with explicit terms, risk-informed pricing, and independent claims assessment.
At launch, that includes Sentora’s USD Protected Vault and Protected RWA Vaults. Our partnership with @veda_labs extends this ambition toward the vault infrastructure layer.
The Risk Consortium brings together @HypernativeLabs, @nativeinsurance, @CredoraNetwork, @Cyfrin, and @labsGFX to independently assess covered events and losses.
Backed by an $8M seed round, our roadmap includes broader capital participation, deeper risk intelligence, and increasingly granular protection.
The goal is to help more capital participate in DeFi with risks that institutions can understand, budget for, and selectively transfer.
We have spent years measuring total value locked. It’s time to pay attention to total value covered.
My essay explores what we’re building and why it matters.

infiniFi has raised an additional $3M+, bringing total funding to over $6M as the protocol approaches its Q4 2026 TGE.
In just over a year, infiniFi has already generated more yield than it has raised in outside capital.

I alluded to big things happening this week, and it is time to tell you what.
@AlchemixFi is launching on @base later this week.
I'm particularly excited about this deployment, which I have detailed why in the article posted in the 2nd tweet of this 🧵

Miden co-founder @azeemk argues the answer to rogue AI transactions may be simple: don’t ask the agent to behave, make the forbidden transaction impossible.
"We ended up creating a solution to our own problem, which we call Guardian. You can think of it like a two-of-three multisig, where you have a hot wallet, a cold wallet key that's stored, and then you can have a third guardian that would be a signer."
"As we started building out, we started seeing, wait, you can actually put an AI in here and give the AI parameters it needs to follow."
"The human would be able to enable guardrails into Miden Guardian, and then have it do the things it wants while being comfortable knowing you can't somehow convince the agent to send $300,000 to someone."
"But if you could encode that it literally can't, that's fascinating."
