Mike Tomlin shared what he loves best about Cam Heyward: “You know what I love about Cam? People think that it was instant for Cam. Look at Cam’s resume. Cam was a little bro for a long time behind guys like Brett Keisel and Aaron Smith. Man, he paid a price. It was not instant for him. Cam had to fight. He had a veteran group when we drafted him,” he said. “We drafted Cam not necessarily when we needed but just having a vision that we will need him. And it allowed him to grow and learn. Cam is a beautiful example of that. The humility in which he worked as a young guy to allow those guys to teach and train him. For him to work daily for his opportunity and when he got his opportunity, he was certainly ready. Cam is probably the brightest example of that in my professional life. I watched him receive the knowledge, I watched him use the knowledge, I watched him share the knowledge. There’s young guys playing in Pittsburgh now.
