“Every era of computing has a fight over who controls the infrastructure. In the AI era, that fight is about sovereignty: who owns the hardware a country or company runs on, who can see its data, and who can pull the plug.” With this observation, Erika Masako Welch, Chief Content Officer of @LucidityInsight, explores how sovereign cloud becomes a strategic priority as governments and businesses confront their dependence on digital infrastructure. In her analysis, Welch describes two forces driving this shift: geopolitical tensions that raise concerns over foreign access to data and infrastructure, and AI's growing role in building and running online services. For organizations that rely on cloud platforms to operate, control over that infrastructure becomes a boardroom issue. At the center is the DFINITY Foundation's (@dfinity) Internet Computer, an open network that combines computing resources across data centers to host software and data. Its cloud engines allow organizations to choose the hardware supporting their services and change that configuration as their needs evolve. Welch highlights founder Dominic Williams' claim that enterprises can move from hyperscaler computing resources to dedicated hardware in their home countries “without interrupting or even degrading the services you are running.” mena.entrepreneur.com/techno…

The UN Development Programme, which works in ~170 countries, now has its first Internet Computer cloud engine running for one of its country offices. DFINITY will host a Sovereign Cloud event at Davos in February 2027. @dfinity

🇵🇰 LATEST: DFINITY founder Dominic Williams says Pakistan is building a national chat app on $ICP infrastructure expected to serve more than 100 million users.

$ICP fam, take a look at this! Will investigate it more in depth tomorrow and might have to do a video on it, stay tuned!
Keep the app. Retire the stack. The network runs it. Your team stops patching servers. Move to Motoko on the Internet Computer. movetomotoko.com/

JUST IN: Pakistan and DFINITY discuss sovereign AI infrastructure powered by Internet Computer ($ICP) Pakistan’s Digital Authority met with DFINITY executives in Dubai to explore an AI factory for public-sector software and further development of the PDA Cloud Engine, building on earlier collaboration around Internet Computer infrastructure.

🔴 If there was no vetting process Events like Davos would be filled with +95% scammers who bought booths and stage time to shill their scams For bigger important events, THERE IS 100% A VETTING PROCESS BEFORE YOU CAN SPEAK ON STAGE Davos itself is an invite-only event Given it's filled with heads of state, high level government officials, and corporate execs. Many other IMPORTANT EVENTS work similarly to Davos L1 founders are mostly NOT INVITED TO PRESENT because L1s SOLVE NO PROBLEMS and have nothing to do with AI They DO SPEAK at "Crypto specific" events - which no one outside of Crypto pays attention to They also pay for their boots and stage time. And oftentimes they pay alot of money. L1 founders will never be invited to present at serious conferences bc they are not serious people. And L1s solve no problems. You can't sell fake AI narratives to people who know better... The L1 delusion ends on Crypto Twitter. **Also as it stands right now. It looks like Dfinity/ICP will have its own "Sovereign Cloud" event at Davos 2027.... Which again is an invite-only conference. $ICP ☁️♾

Pakistan wants AI infrastructure it can control. Its Digital Authority is discussing a sovereign AI Factory with DFINITY, using ICP-based cloud infrastructure to build government software. Here's the bigger opportunity for $ICP. Governments increasingly want AI without surrendering control of their data and infrastructure to foreign cloud providers. But the real victory won't be another agreement. It'll be government applications running in production.

🚨 AI BUZZWORDS WILL NOT MAKE YOU RICH. After being in the game of crypto for a while, identifying and seeing through bs becomes a lot easier ( if you stick around ofc) $ICP mogs any “AI” crypto your invested in. Real solutions will move forward.

🧠 $ICP: YOUR BLOCKCHAIN APPS JUST ENTERED THE CHAT. DFINITY says the Internet Computer plugin is now available in ChatGPT’s plugin directory. Once installed, it lets ChatGPT read data and make changes in participating Internet Computer applications, including working across multiple apps within one conversation. Users can interact with supported services through natural-language requests, bringing tasks such as checking schedules, managing to-do lists and coordinating appointments into the chat interface.

I’m at a point with $icp that I feel I never have enough . I seriously buy every dip faithfully . I get more bullish everyday it seems like .

thats because ICP is the only blockchain-based tech that has a relevant use case outside of the blockchain industry.

The base:0x00f3c42833c3170159af4e92dbb451fb3f708917 vs near:native patent fight just got a timeline check. Dragonfly's Haseeb Qureshi says DFINITY's patent was only granted in late July, NEAR changed the algorithm in September, and the original paper was published under an open CC BY license that NEAR cited. Dominic Williams says stolen. Haseeb says timing.
