HAPPENING NOW: #NationalCleaningDay on all over the city. Mutungo is getting cleaned abs waste evacuated #ForALivableCity.
We have noted with deep concern the video circulating regarding the assault of a lady by individuals not in uniform.
This matter is of grave importance, and we trust that the investigative arm of @PoliceUg will thoroughly examine the incident and ensure accountability.
@KCCAUG we strongly condemn such acts of violence in the strongest possible terms. Violence against any individual is unacceptable and we are confident it shall addresed by the Uganda Police with urgency to ensure justice.

“If a child fails to learn to read before the age of 8, that child will fail to read to learn after age of 8.”
Early childhood development is very important as brain development is rapid between 0-5 years. Today we held a training session for teachers of pre-primary on the early childhood education and development policy.
We have equipped them with enough knowledge to continue to take care of our children well, the trainings will continue as we work with @Educ_SportsUg on the same.

Ahead of the National Cleaning Day, the @KCCAUG City Executive Committee (CEC) members inspected the garbage collection fleet in Nakawa Division, confirming that our teams and trucks are ready to hit the ground running.
And here’s the good news: garbage collection will be FREE tomorrow as part of the cleaning day. No paying.
We’re bringing the trucks. You bring the commitment. Together, let’s clean our neighbourhoods, clear our spaces and take pride in our city.
