Denny Martin (Mason's dad) 10/12
Mason is back from surgery. The cranial flap was not put back on today. Dr. Nail said she was very torn because she wanted to reinsert the flap so badly for him, but the conditions just weren’t perfect. She said she could have made it work...
I know for a fact that she will be watching over Mason, my dad, Sydney, and me. She fought to the very end. She could’ve quit ages ago, but she didn’t and she’s passed that fighting spirit on to so many others, including her boy, Mason.
My mom constantly put others before herself, even when she needed the most help. She was loved by so many, and I can guarantee that the world will never be the same without her...
but that’s just not good enough. The fact that she will only accept perfection for my son is just one of the many things I love about her. He is doing well and recovering. The plan for now is that we just wait until some time next week and try again. Thanks for all the prayers...
One thing we have never felt throughout this is alone. I thank you all. #MasonStrong 🙏🙏
Mason’s Dad:
Mason is scheduled to have surgery at 10:45am today to have his cranial flap put back in place. Besides the risks of surgery itself, the biggest concern is infection. In this case infection isn't something they'd simply treat with an antibiotic, they'd have to ...
redo the surgery. So I am asking for specific prayers today for a successful reinsertion with no infection. Also praying that the flap back in place will allow the brain to begin to function in a normal manner. This has the potential to be a big step in his recovery
Please also say a prayer of gratitude for those that are looking after and caring for Stacy during this time. She Is so blessed to have family and friends who are willing to dig in and face the pain during this difficult time. #MasonStrong #StacyStrong 🙏🙏
