Many skilled immigrants in life long GC backlogs are celebrating Trump's victory but Trump will not recognize the citizenship of children of nonimmigrants born in the US and then they will not be able to sponsor their parents when they turn 21. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/…

“Beyond the constitutional questions that HB 671 raises, the bill on its face demonstrates a significant misunderstanding of Federal Immigration Law. (The bill) essentially only considers three statuses: pending asylum, DACA, and pending a ‘visa,’” bit.ly/3NtFK85
Pharaoh, put people in bondage. Now, Congress allows DHS to contract with private jailers like CCA & GEO. These private jailers seem above the law. Each violate immigration & labor laws by having detainees work for substandard wages. Find another way, Congress!
Scapegoating immigrants (the foreign born), among others, is what Hitler & his Nationalist Socialist Party advocated, as well. Yet, the statistics demonstrate, otherwise.
The challenge is, when lies are repeated, people begin to believe it! What happened to “the big tent?”
The US is losing the AI race because of its immigration policies bostonglobe.com/2023/07/13/o… via @BostonGlobe
Lying about unlawful immigration simply encourages it. Yet, the borders are closed! The U.S. persists in routinely violating the Geneva Convention on Torture. The indigenous people in Guatemala must be protected if not by the United States.
The anti-immigrant sentiment, among other prejudices, continues to discourage. Potential recruits. linkedin.com/posts/margaret-…
The need for reasonable respect & the integrity of history can never be underestimated. The evolution & stability of precedent, along with ethical & moral interpretation must be elevated, not incubated into disinformation for disillusionment. The world depends upon it!

When a Texas Governor, and a President, blame Mexicans, claiming a so called invasion, those who follow them take action. Bigotry and hate talk promote violence. Massacres like this can be discouraged with less blame and more understanding. apnews.com/article/mexico-un…

Congress ought to reasonably fund USCIS, not force the people into a trap to bar immigration for the middle class. The current fees discourage those who should file. It can be $2-3G in USCIS fees, not atty, just to petition and adjust the spouse of a U.S. citizen!
.@DHSgov published a proposed rule to adjust certain immigration and naturalization fees. The changes are needed to better maintain operations & respond to backlogs & processing delays. Public comments are due by March 6, 2023.

Congress dumped the Afghan Adjustment Bill! This forces nearly 100G to go into 'immigration hell!' Congress cut it from the $1.7 trillion spend Bill. This pathway to legalization for Afghan evacuees got bipartisan/veteran support to remove the fear of deportation & unemployment.
The Supreme Court's right wing engages in 'judicial activism,' not strict constructionism. Otherwise, it would not uphold the TRO maintaining Title 42; those fleeing persecution are not a disease. That said, the Supremes seem to be hijacking the Executive Branch.
I am 1 of 16,000+ @AILANational members calling on Congress to include the AAA in the FY23 Omnibus TODAY! @chuckgrassley @leadermcconnell #AfghanAdjustmentAct
TODAY is the day for Congress to do its part to fulfill the promises to our Afghan allies and partners. Include the #AfghanAdjustmentAct (AAA) in the FY23 Omnibus. #ISupportAAA
