I got this email today that reminded me of my why after a challenging week. I believe every child can succeed. I’m glad my PreK colleagues and I made a difference for a little girl who needed a lot of love. Belonging and inclusion matter to me.

Spreading some holiday joy at BWI this morning on my way to visit family. Bringing holiday activities for little ones to do on their flights has brought smiles to the faces of little ones and more holiday fun for me too.

Playful learning and structured teaching may seem to be opposing philosophies but they actually go together to meet diverse needs. Thanks to the SLES Special PreK team for learning together. It’s been a great couple of days.

Self-care Saturday. Keeping my promise to myself to take time for me.

Thankful for work I love! It was an amazing early childhood PD day for PreK and K staff @calvertnet.

I spent the past 4 days taking time for mindfulness with fellow @calvertnet educators at the Wild Heart retreat in Colorado.

It was a great night of professional learning and collaboration on playful learning at Prime Time Children’s Center. Thanks @ECSupervisor for joining me in working with childcare staff.

Spending the day learning at the MECLP conference. We can’t wait to bring the learning back to @calvertnet to raise the bar for all learners through building a sturdy bridge between play and rigor in early childhood education. @ECSupervisor

The most relaxing way to spend a Sunday is cuddling my nephew. Family time is the best time.
