Louisiana has now crossed 295,000 early votes, including 95,000 Black voters. Black voters are accounting for roughly 32–33% of early turnout statewide, closely matching our share of Louisiana’s population. Orleans Parish leads with 14,880 Black early voters, followed by East Baton Rouge with 12,703. Democrats have also cast more early ballots than Republicans statewide, 124,000 to 121,000. There are still 837,000 registered Black voters statewide who haven’t voted early, and early voting continues through October 27. Voting is a group project. I’ve done my part today.
