To describe Marc Chagall as anything other than a Jewish artist or to celebrate neighborhoods like Brighton Beach and Rego Park but not describe their Jewish character ​are just the latest examples of the Mayor's relentless, pathological campaign to erase Jews from the story. He does it so often that one has to assume that this is not ignorance or accidental, but a deliberate effort to normalize antisemitism and marginalize Jewish New Yorkers. It’s despicable.

Hilarious foid non sequitur. Women value social harmony & low-conflict environments more highly than men. This makes women less tolerant of disagreement, so as they rise to higher administrative and political positions, things like censorship become a growing fixation.

This tobacco law fuckup is far more amazing than I first thought. They managed to a) raise taxes on tobacco immediately, rather than in 2027 as intended b) raise these taxes now to the highest rates meant for 2030; & c) totally suspend taxes on e-cig liquids.

The Finance Ministry botched a law authorising higher tobacco tax – accidentally including language causing it to take effect today rather than in 2027 (as intended). The head of the department responsible for the fuckup is a former hip-hop artist. This is Germany.
