Who likes IntelliSense? I do.
Who likes Dataflows (cough - gen 1 only)? I do.
Well, we can have both, finally.
#PowerBI
I've been doing some practice assessments this morning for certifications.
Some of the questions in the DP-700 seem vague.
I thought I'd take a look at some of the other ones for comparison.
Some assessments have definitely had more effort put into their development than others.
I'm glad so much money is being invested into #Copilot. It's amazing!
🤣
Who's in charge of the #PowerBI renaming department at Microsoft?
You missed a couple. 😜
I find it laughable that #Microsoft have done nothing to provide PPU customers a replacement for Datamarts. Hiding behind the "Preview" tag to get out of it. You can't have something in preview forever. Oh wait, "Spanish language support for Q&A".
It seems you can.
R.I.P. Datamarts in Power BI.
In July 2025 you cannot create new ones, and in Oct 2025, they will start to be deleted. See the below article for the new strategy in Fabric.

I like sharing useful software, that is, well, useful.
So, for all you early morning and late night folk who want to save your eyes and circadian rhythm.

Claude's (@AnthropicAI) response...(I lol'd)
"This ChatGPT (@OpenAI) version uses a different (and arguably better) approach to calculate..."
🤣
I've fixed #PowerBI conditional formatting for Matrix/Table visuals. You're welcome.
But seriously, how hard is this to implement? I know "we're working on much bigger things, it's going to be GREAT!"
#Microsoft needs a new team to fix the little things. That team would matter.
To overcome the limitations of the #PowerBI core visuals, I think I'll just start to build everything using
@the_d_mp's HTML viewer. 😁
Can anyone tell me where the properties of a table/query appear relating to a #PowerBI Dataflow (gen 1)? I can see the properties/description of the Dataflow when connecting in Power BI Desktop but not the individual tables/queries in the Dataflow.
I love so many things about #MicrosoftFabric and #PowerBI. A lot of my posts are critical of the products because I care.
But seriously, who the hell signed off on this? A company that rebranded to green because of accessibility considerations approved this? Red on grey. Really?
Just going to leave this here in case anyone else is having issues with #MicrosoftFabric copy activity in pipelines not overwriting as expected...

This is the most useful find for me today when wanting to programmatically edit pipelines.
Append '&feature.enableJsonEdit=true' on the end of the url.
(I shouldn't need to say it, but, be careful and make sure you have a copy of the original JSON.)
