I was born and raised on a farm in a small town in Ohio. I've worked to get H-1B visas and green cards for my team members my entire career. There are three simple economic arguments for increasing legal immigration by highly educated workers:

It was absolutely my pleasure to visit Newcastle and speak at the Annual Faraday Institution meeting; wonderful people and excellent discussion !
We enjoyed the 1st keynote of #Faraday2024 by Professor @KPatBerkeley, @UCBerkeley.
Kristin discussed the advantages of data-driven reaction network approaches for exploring chemical reactions with greater accuracy and efficiency. ⚡🔋

UC Berkeley just hosted a hackathon. Over 1000 students from around the world came to build for 36 hours straight.
The reward? $100k+ in prizes.
Here are the winners and crowd standouts we saw at CalHacks ‘24 @CalHacks (🧵)
Thank you 🙏 I’m very grateful to @robvanhattum for his expertise and commitment to science and technology !

Good reminder: we just don't need hydrogen trains. Electric rail has been a thing for about a century. It works wonderfully. India has electrified ~half its massive rail network in five years. I think we can manage here if we wanted to. (I'm looking at you, California).
