Scammers are at it again today. KY Public Service Commission has contacted us that they are hearing from SKRECC members re: phone calls supposedly from us saying they will be disconnected if they don't pay immediately. We have currently suspended disconnects - this is NOT us!!
South Kentucky RECC is not calling members asking for payment and threatening disconnection. Don't be a victim! #WeAreSKRECC
SCAM ALERT: Scammers are targeting @KyElectricCoops members & threatening to disconnect services unless payment is provided. The @KYPSC has issued an order halting disconnections during #COVID19. Report scams to our office at 888-432-9257. Learn More: kyelectric.coop/2020/04/23/s…

Some excellent recommendations contained in the @KYPSC report. I’m not a fan of private for-profit companies operating public utilities, but kudos to the PSC for bringing attention to the urgency of this growing problem. Martin Co. was the first but it won’t be the last.
"I don’t think you can underestimate the urgency with which the commission views this." Regulators recommend sweeping changes to the management, oversight of many Kentucky water districts: kentucky.com/news/state/kent…
