This week I wrote about tips & resources to say grounded in this political moment.
I've seen too many folks in the movement succumb to cynicism lately. That will get us nowhere.
Stay rooted in what's important.

Okay… so here’s my official post lol
Thank you @THECC_NYC & thank YOU guys so much for seeing me. This is absolutely a result of your recommendations last year paired with the work I tirelessly put into the music space I love so dearly to make sure emerging artists feel seen & heard.
It was my goal at one point to make it on 30 under 30, and I was so discouraged when that didn’t happen. This recognition coming DIRECTLY from my peers during a time when I’m finally stepping into my light more authentically means SO much more.
Very proud to be a part of the 2025 #CCNYCCreativeClass alongside my incredible peers. We are the culture forreal. 🖤

Snoop performed for Trump because he got Paid too by republicans.
Kamala had people performing because they got paid by democrats.
Many whom didn’t believe in her agenda or care for politics,
The culture responds to money because we don’t have a collective code.
You can’t hold people accountable when there’s no standard we agree upon, or enforceable consequence besides momentarily backlash.

I am so numb. I am so angry. I am so broken. I am sobbing. I am cautious about hope. I am reaching for relief. The only thing that is clear is the work still ahead of us to hold Israel to account, to make sure none of this happens again, to help Gaza rebuild, to Free Palestine.

Exciting news: Flora Lichtman will join founder Ira Flatow as Host of Science Friday! Tune in each Friday afternoon from 1 to 3 on KCCU. #scifri @flichtman @scifriguy
In the early 2000's, I was a High School intern with Science Friday. I worked with both Ira and Flora back in the day in a small office in Midtown.
Super dope to see Flora now become a co-host of the show! Congrats @flichtman & @scifri!

If you don’t want to be arguing with liberals on the internet in four years about how they don’t organize anything then I assure you word of mouth is necessary for getting thru to people

hey so I know this is gonna sound wild but we actually need to teach people what organizing means and not just thru sporadic organizing 101 trainings
Agree 100%. Those who take responsibility in movements need to stay intentional & focused on building people and campaigns up from where they are rather than where we want them to be.
We all need to be real sober right now to assess where we are vs where we wish we were.
Less yelling at people for what they aren't doing & more simultaneous teaching & learning as a group.
Show by leading in our values rather than yelling at ppl for not having any.
People don't have any values because of what Julian pointed out: we don't even teach people.
