I love these new video resources by @ACONhealth on how to compassionately respond to disclosures of sexual violence, and how to support loved ones. It was great to have been a part of the consultative process with other amazing lived experience advocates. sayitoutloud.org.au/friends-…

Proud to have been one of the lived experience experts consulted for this report. It really sheds light on how many people are effected by eating disorders in Australia and just what it can cost for some.
1.1 million Australians are now living with an eating disorder & the economic & social cost of eating disorders grew to $67 billion. We need further investment into eating disorders to resolve this public health crisis. Read more ⬇️ butterfly.org.au/who-we-are/…

Just found out that I missed out on the next round of PhD scholarships due to one of my twenty minor supporting documents uploading incorrectly. Bureaucracy will be the death of me.

Did anyone else make friends with one or two people in every single 'clique' at school thinking 'I can get along with anyone' - only to realise later on, you likely had just befriended all the neurodivergent people in your grade?

Have I spent two days writing and re-writing the same two paragraphs? Yes. Yes I have.

I often wish my parents had given me a more Māori name - but when stuff like this comes out, I am reminded that having an 'English-sounding' name has likely benefited me in many situations, which is kind of sad.

For those of you who are neurodivergent/struggle with chronic mental illness and have completed a PhD - what types of support systems or strategies did you use or do you recommend having in place to protect/maintain/build health and wellbeing whilst doing a PhD?

A public holiday to mourn the Queen? Even though the queen already has an annual holiday, there's still no public holiday that acknowledges the Indigenous history and peoples of this land and Australia Day remains on January 26th (the actual Day of Mourning). Priorities, amirite?
