The future of #ArtificialIntelligence is not pre-determined. As a technology developed by human beings, its future depends on the choices we make. We therefore have the responsibility to guide, change and, when necessary, reject its applications. A reliable system that serves the human person is of greater value than one that is exceptionally powerful but whose consequences cannot be adequately foreseen or controlled.

Sandu: “Deliberate attacks on civilians are war crimes. Pressure on Russia must grow. Moldova stands with Ukraine.”
A Russian soldier referred to illegally recruited Africans as "disposables." In Africa and everywhere else, Russia acts like a terrorist state. Complicity with this in any way is a serious historical blunder. Don't be deluded

Russia’s deadly attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure must stop.
Canada condemns in the strongest terms Russia’s strike on Dnipro railway station, which has claimed more than a dozen innocent lives and injured many others. This latest attack underscores Putin’s disregard for human life and further undermines efforts to achieve peace. Russia must be held accountable for its actions.
Canada stands firmly with Ukraine and its people. We will continue to support Ukraine in its pursuit of a just and lasting peace, for as long as it takes.
It is truly disappointing how the Ghanaian presidency launders Russian influence operations now. The idea that it is somehow anti-imperial to circulate the narratives of a murderous and actively imperial and racist regime is complicity with Putin's war crimes.
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed Africa’s firm commitment to ending the longstanding dependency on foreign aid and raw material extraction, urging global partners to embrace investment models that deliver equitable, long-term returns for all parties.
Speaking during a high-level roundtable at the 3rd Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow, the President said the primary objective for African leadership today is to eliminate structural and administrative bottlenecks that hinder goodwill from evolving into robust, sustainable commercial ties.
“Africa is a continent of the future. Immense opportunities abound for mutual investment between African and Russian enterprises—particularly in agriculture, agro-processing, healthcare, energy security, and digital services,” President Mahama declared.
Addressing existing imbalances in trade, President Mahama advocated for enhanced and direct market access for African goods into the Russian Federation.
To achieve this, he proposed the deployment of modernised trade settlement mechanisms, specifically highlighting the use of local currencies and integrated digital payment architectures to facilitate smooth bilateral transactions.
“Better market information, predictable quality standards, resilient logistics, and closer cooperation between our respective private sectors can make trade far more balanced, reliable, and mutually rewarding,” he noted.
President Mahama, who assumes the Chairmanship of the African Union (AU) next year, acknowledged Russia’s historical solidarity with the continent, noting that the long-standing political goodwill must now serve as a bridge toward shared technological and economic advancement.
Reflecting on these ties, the President said, “You stood by Africa during the struggle against colonialism and extended critical support to our newly independent nations. Today, we are prepared to leverage Russia’s expertise in technology-driven initiatives to accelerate modern industrialisation, growth, and prosperity across our continent.”
President Mahama’s participation at the summit, he noted, is part of Ghana’s broader diplomatic and economic strategy to diversify international trade relationships, attract strategic investments, and advance the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agenda.

Kyiv: “… Economic sanctions, travel bans, Russia’s isolation from global platforms, and effective justice mechanisms must be established to stop Russia’s state system of torture and cruelty”
For thousands of Ukrainian families, the timetable of daily life is structured around the fight to bring their loved ones home from Russian captivity.
Days become weeks. Weeks become months. For some families, years have passed. They should not have to wait indefinitely. Ukrainian defenders and civilians held by Russia must come home.
Economic sanctions, travel bans, Russia’s isolation from global platforms, and effective justice mechanisms must be established to stop Russia’s state system of torture and cruelty. The international community must act in unity to hold Russia accountable — every timely and decisive action counts.

A horrific terrorist attack in Dnipro city. Russians used a drone to attack people at the train station. At least 13 were killed.
This is a deliberate act of murder against civilians.

"We're not mere prisoners of fate, our actions matter & can bend history in the direction of justice"
It was a form of disenfranchisement and ultimately, murder. We don't pushback on these racists and their useful idiots enough.
Not a single news outlet has reviewed its coverage of Jason Arday, for accuracy or proportionality. Zero attempt has been made to conduct any inquiry into the media’s role in his death. Instead, the industry has moved into self-congratulatory mode. This isn’t just tone deaf, it betrays a systemic failure
Shows how extreme and anti-democratic the neo-reactionary movement in some Tech circles actually is; theorizing Khmer Rouge-style deindustrialization and domination as autonomous capital will have devastating consequences.

What genuinely astonishes me to the depths of my soul is the audacity and cynicism with which this blatant, undisguised corrupt collusion with the Kremlin is dressed up as an effort to “improve relations with Russia” and “end the war,” as if nobody can see or understand what is happening.

Russia’s idea of peace isn’t peace at all. It’s the subjugation of Ukraine, and it would all but guarantee another war.
Just some of Russia’s demands:
🔴 Surrender the entire Donbas, including territory Russia doesn’t control
🔴 Drastically limit Ukraine’s armed forces
🔴 Recognise Russia’s annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories
🔴 Permanently renounce NATO membership
🔴 Accept permanent neutrality and abandon Western military alliances
🔴 Roll back NATO’s military presence in Europe to Russia’s preferred terms
This is a recipe for disaster, and nothing the free world should even consider agreeing to.

This is shameful. What's the value of this recognition while they are committing war crimes in Ukraine and illegally recruiting Ghanaian citizens to die in their war of aggression. Weak and shameful.
President John Dramani Mahama has been honoured by Russia’s Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN University) in recognition of his commitment to expanding access to education and strengthening Ghana-Russia cooperation in education and scientific research.
The university cited Ghana’s efforts to promote equal educational opportunities, including support for more than 152,000 first-year students at public universities and free higher education for students with disabilities.
It also acknowledged President Mahama’s personal academic ties to Russia, where he received his postgraduate education, as well as the longstanding educational partnerships between Ghana and RUDN University.
