Can the act of making comics/manga itself be a performance act due to the fact we’ve been able to see artists change their stories actively or is that something else entirely

It’s so weird seeing what type of performance people keep up while also not being public figures A lot of people run the ‘rude, honest, but funny’ bit to get eyes and engagement, but then never actually drop any projects because they know theyd get cooked Drop something coward

It’s bullshit that artists have to beg for the right to exist while wealthy institutions hijack art to play with and profit from like they’ve been doing Having involvement with art, thinking about it, this as a baseline belongs to humanity It’s our now, our hope, and our future

I really don’t like the dialogues where it insinuates that if you are an artist, you immediately view yourself as above other workers I understand how it happens with snobs of a higher income, but that happens with everything Almost all of artists are the workers besides you
