Wow: _every day_ my phone updates Netflix and other apps!
The SI hacking and pen-testing
are both accelerating like a Tesla Roadster
chasing a SpaceX Starship!😬😱
Prepare for two years of political theater.
BUT grandstanding politicians cannot actually hurt Elon Musk or Tesla or SpaceX.
♦️The President is still the President. He controls the executive branch and has veto power (and pardon power).
♦️Texas is purple, and every Tesla and SpaceX project went through the normal local hearings and permitting processes. The permits were approved because the local residents and officials saw the economic advantage of the jobs.
♦️Markets will stabilize as they realize that this harms other companies more than Tesla and SpaceXSI - which always have a good relationship with local communities. The fundamentals have not changed. Tesla and SpaceXSI can operate independently of the grid if need be.
They will accelerate, not slow down.

I failed 21 SAS selection.
One hundred and twenty men started. Four finished. I was not one of them.
I do not tell that story to be humble. I tell it because of what happened next, which nobody ever asks about.
I went home. I was 19 years old and I had failed at the one thing I had told everyone I was going to do. There is a particular silence that follows that. Friends are kind. Family are careful. And you sit in your childhood bedroom and understand that the failure is now a fact about you.
Six months later I went back and did the whole thing again.
Passed the second time.
Here is what I actually learned, and it is not what people expect. It was not about grit. It was not about wanting it more. It was that the first attempt was not wasted, it was the reconnaissance. I knew where the ground broke you. I knew what the third day felt like. I was not braver the second time, I was better informed.
Most people treat a failure as a verdict.
It is data.
The only real failure is the one you refuse to go back and look at.

"Technology is designed by and for humans...
It would never occur to you to cook with a gun,
it's not made for that:
it's made to threaten or kill.
There might be a function in that,
but it's not neutral.
And when you design AI to extract all value (without consent)
to surveil on a mass scale...
that is not neutral;
and every surveillance tool
is not neutral:
surveillance is made to control."
Passion originally meant ensuring/suffering
now it's a way to describe your fiance or donut.
Not nuanced.
The US have enhanced this:
Instead of saying someone is passionate,
they say they are sick/crazy/insane,
invariably the latter,
and this insanity has now spread to the UK.

Karl Bushby(57) just got back home to his mother in Hull, England
after walking round the world
in an unbroken path (didn't use boats: swam)
for 28 years
with nothing but memories
and now has to find a new porpoise
from his room: mother's cellar.
What an England to return to!!!🤯🤯🤯

Minimum wage in 2018 was £7.83
in April, it will become £13.20
A rise of 69% - seems great, right?!
Until...
In 2018 the worker paid £1821 in tax
with the company contributing £1085 in National Insurance
So the government took £2916
In April, £4168 from the worker
and £3368 from the company
so the government will get £7536
A rise of 158% !
The government says you're getting more
but they're driving inflation up so hard doing this
that you can't buy what you used to!
This level of incompetence
has to be deliberate...
UK budget now allows the tax people to take money from your bank account without telling you!
And 7 EU countries had their shop fridges hacked
spoiling all the food!
The Hunger Games have started...
